Hi, all. There was a tool called MIFMuncher (see http://www.stc-carolina.org/MIF+Muncher) that people used for format reports from MIF files. I have _mostly_ completed a parser for MIF files that appears to be working well on the sample files I have. However, to make it far more general

I've tried wiping them via MIF (earlier versions) with no luck to speak of. Perhaps hitting a monitor (always the unwitting victim) and cussing will help. Not with deleting them, but with the frustration. Bernard -Original Message- From: Framers

Looking at the Frame 12 MIF Reference, I guess what I want to delete are old System generated colors which are defined as "FrameMaker will automatically generate new colors when multiple tags are applied on text. The ColorTag tag that is generated is named with the "fm_gen_" prefix and appended

No .. I'm pretty sure that the only way to know if it's "in use" is to scan the entire file for the ColorTag value. The ColorIsReserved, means that it's "reserved" by FM (a core color, perhaps, which can't be deleted). I'm just guessing though. The FDK reference may have more info. I can

I have the Silicon Prairie colour tools but unlike the Para and Char tools, there is no option for "delete unused colours". I've created a MIF file and am wondering how I separate the "in use" from the "unused" colours. At a guess, I would say any colour with "" is "in use", while any

- Windows 7 64 bit - Frame 12 Is there any way to auto-delete unused colours from a Frame 12 file? I could only find instructions in the Frame 12 PDF for deleting the colours one at a time (with colours in use presenting a message about being sure about the deletion process). Alison Craig

I guess I should chime in here with some clarification... it is true that InsetPlus will only work with structured Frame, because only a structured document has the markup to allow better automation. The reason that you struggle with insets in unstructured Frame is because the lack of metadata
