It sounds like someone inserted a disconnected page instead of allowing
FM to add a new page automatically. This used to happen frequently when
a writer who was not experienced with FrameMaker worked on the files.

In spite of all the warnings, I have been using Save as PDF, with
mostly good results since FM6.
Now I am using FM10 and Acrobat 7 on Windows XP. When I use Save As
PDF Framemaker tells me that it can't find the specified JobOptions

That's a pretty tall order! There is not much good news in this situation.
Your customer should have specified the deliverable format from the beginning
of the project, and provided the SGML template for you to work in. The template
specifies all of the tags and elements to be applied

I do not have experience with FrameMaker and EPub, but I do use Calibre
to manage a lot of e-books. I find that it works really well with RTF as
an input. So you might use MIF-to-go to create an RTF from FM, and then
use Calibre to convert that to EPub.
