Re: What end product should i give them? or thinking of moving help application, but to what???
FrameMaker 11 and 12 have RoboHelp's core feature set built in, so they can generate HTML web help and EPUB without any additional software. You can avoid the IE security message for local HTML files by using the Add Mark of the Web option: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/robohtml/WS1A5EA425-79A0-42b9-B53C-8C8C5E9BE0B4.html Help for tablet apps is usually HTML or PDF. You can experiment with EPUB but you'll probably find it's inferior. Adobe Technical Communications Suite 5 includes FrameMaker 12, RoboHelp 11, Acrobat XI, and Captivate 7. Also Presenter 9, but most people require PowerPoint so that's not adding much value. You can get a 30-day free trial to check it out. Do not import your FrameMaker book(s) into RoboHelp. Link them instead. I created a cheat sheet and sample project for doing that as it was not well documented: http://lauriston.com/fm10_link_to_rh9.zip I believe you can configure RoboHelp to use the same tags and CSH header file you've been using for WebWorks. RE: Subject: RE: What end product should I give them? or thinking of moving help application, but to what???
TCS is a bundle of products that have special integrations to work together over the standalone versions of the software. The lineup keeps changing with each release, but TCS5 has FM12, RH11, Captivate 7, Presenter 9, Acrobat Pro XI – prior versions have included Photoshop and Illustrator. Because I still have to produce PDFs, I use FM for all my content and then import it into RH for producing WebHelp. Very little fiddling needed. What end product should i give them? or thinking of moving help application, but to what???

Re: What end product should i give them? or thinking of moving help application, but to what???
Note: I am an MVP with WebWorks (the company that makes ePublisher). Carrie, I recommend that you stick with ePublisher, but upgrade to the latest version. ePublisher now has an HTML 5 output called Reverb. Reverb output is designed to resize on devices of different sizes without you having to use more than one template. That would be a great solution for both your tablet and desktop/browser targets. In addition, you can generate .chm, PDF, Eclipse help, ePub... The down side is that ePublisher does not support FM 7. That doesn't mean that it won't work; it's just not supported. You might want to consider upgrading FM, too. If you have more questions about ePublisher, you can also contact me offline.
