[Framers] Custom graphic as bullet

Frame Gurus! Using: Unstructured Frame TCS 2017 Our marketing department wants us to use a customized bullet. It's more of a graphic, because it's not in the character palette. They use InDesign so they inserted it as a graphic. They want us to use it as a bullet in all of our bullet

Ah, marketing. What would we do without them. The short answer is, you can't. At least not using the Character Designer and Paragraph Designer. A long while back Chris Despopoulos created a plugin called RefIcons, which sort of did what you want. It paired an anchored graphic with a paragraph

As far back as I can remember, the lore was that those error numbers only had meaning to whomever created the message. There were no specific fixes. My old troubleshooting mind remembers when tweaking some resource settings in early Windows releases sometimes helped fix application problems. I

Anyone know what these errors refer to? I have a file that frequently crashes Frame, and this was the latest series of internal errors it gave me. I did do a MIF wash and noticed one odd thing: Frame has renamed the color Black to fm_gen_## when I save to the MIF file. If I edit those

Do you have PNG files in the doc? I find that SOME of them (not all, that would be almost too easy) get scanned by FM and the colors added to the catalog. I hate PNG for that reason. Is it justified hate? Maybe not. However, it's hate regardless. Sometimes I just save files as PNG so that I can

You could make it into a font using FontForge or the like. What a great way to increase shareholder value. On Wed, May 17, 2017 at 12:12 PM, wrote: > Frame Gurus! > > Using: > Unstructured Frame > TCS 2017 > > Our marketing department wants us to use a customized bullet.

I agree. If Mktg wants something that specialized, they need to provide the bullet as a scalable font. Murphy's Law: The more you contort Frame - and yourself - to comply with a weird request, the more chance there is of a disaster happening right before you have to publish! Alison Craig

Hi Gillian, I don't have Frame available, so if I remember correctly (fingers crossed), here's how you can make a custom bullet: Draw a Graphic Frame on the Reference Pages and if the art file size is small enough, I'd copy, not reference it into the frame. Name the Graphic Frame, for

Instead of simply removing the 18 files, save just the current FM file under another name then remove everything from the new file except the images. Then remove them from your working file. That way, the images will maintain their Conditions and you *should* just be able to copy each one back
