HI Frameworkers
I was wondering if anyone could give some titles of films that are
"portrait films"
I am teaching at Hofstra U, and I am feeling stumped after assigning the
kids to make a portrait film, on examples of what to show them.
Just juggling so much, thought I would reach out for some
HI Frameworks!
There are two Westwood (like Century) 35mm platter systems (but can be
switched to change over I hear) going to be scrapped if no one wants to
take them in HUDSON NY. I do not know when the demo of the interior of the
theater will happen, it could be next week or it could be in a
Hi Frameworks,
I have an enclosed porch that I wanted to turn into a dark room, it is sort
of insulated, but it is still cold, Im in upstate NY. I haven't put a
thermometer out there, but we have some nights coming up that might be in
the tens if not single digits coming up. What happens if
Can you use regular E-6 chemistry that I was using for other Ektachrome
Super 8mm for Ektachrome Super 8mm G type?
I just realized I have some roll that says it is G type - I read online
that this is somehow a different type of film and that takes different type
of development...
is that true?
Thanks Scott!!!

Hi Frameworkers
What 16mm film stock would you recommend for making an internegative from a
positive?
The positive is black and white mostly, and high contrast black and white
but because of solarization and chemical effects some parts have changed to
a yellow color that I would like to preserve
HI Frameworkers.
I have a bit of a manic question. I have some rolls of color neg, fuji 400T
mostly. That I shot 1 as I like to say, layer, of images onto already,
but they were shot 2 stops under because I was going to add other layers
onto them. Well things have gotten rather crazy with other

Hi Frameworks,
I have a film project that I need to raise money in order to complete. I am
working entirely with a 16mm work flow for this project. I know there is
Kickstarter and Indie Gogo but I was wondering about other funding options.
I am currently a resident of NY State, but I have the
can anyone suggest an area in Toronto where there are cheap studios for
rent?
I have a budget of about $300/mo for a studio. I need a place where I can
set up a Steenbeck - preferably an elevator or wide staircase to move it
in. I do not mind if it is far out away from the center of Toronto - I
Does anyone have any daylight spools or boxes in the San Francisco, LA or
San Diego area that I could buy off of them, this weekend!?
I forgot that I need more before Monday, when I go out into the desert for
a shoot! Or does anyone know where I could get them over the weekend!
I know - what was I
OK so FotoKem in Burbank only will give me daylight spools and boxes if I
am processing with them. I live in NYC and work with Color Lab. So I was
wondering if its worth it to drive there and try anyways to get them on
Monday, I just called and talked to a pick up drop off guy there on
Saturdays.
Thanks Frameworks! I have some leads now!

Hi Frameworks
I was wondering if anyone in Paris had any daylight spools 100 ft (30m) and
boxes that they can lend me for a few a bit or could sell me.
Thanks

Hi Frameworks,
I know that many of you did respond to wanting to give a loving home to my
steenbeck which is in an NYU building in NYC and need to be taken out of

get you in the building during a week day. maybe the
Hi Frameworks I was wondering if you had any tips for shooting and then for
the hand processing of expired black and white Tri-X film.
Like, does the film tend to want more or less light when it is old and was
not stored properly at all...
Does it take more time or less time in comparison to good

Ok a while back I sent out a call for anyone who wanted a Steenbeck well
she never was picked up so now she really needs a home ASAP!! This machine
that used to cost thousands of $$ can now be yours just for the cost of
moving it.
You just have to move it out of 383 Lafayette (between
