Please try patching. The new xf86-intel barely works at all for bapt on his broadwell. Believe it or not, I have not had time to test the new X bits myself. It should all work "eventually" but there is a lot to cover and I'm not at all familiar with the user side

In head is now the WITH_SYSTEM_COMPILER option. It is off-by-default for now but hopefully will be on-by-default relatively quickly. It will skip building the bootstrap Clang for buildworld/kernel-toolchain/universe if /usr/bin/cc matches the tree. It will also skip GCC if building for the same
