Heya,
i need to get an ISDN terminal adapter working asap under freebsd. can
anyone recommend one that just works? i've used a usr courier ta in the

If you want a USR Courier external I-modem I'll sell you one cheap.
The best way to do ISDN is to use an ISDN router like an Ascend Pipeline
or some such.

Hello everybody!
I've been trying to get my internet connection back to work for five days now,
but it still does not work.
I am using FreeBSD 5.3 and I want to try to connect PPP over an ISDN connection
- I use a AVM Fritz! PCI v2 as an internal isdn-adapter.
It does not work, and I don't
Hi,
Is there any support for USB ISDN devices in 5.3? The USB modem I want
to use is correctly idendified but as a ugen0(.1/.2). I searched the docs
but I only saw info for PCI/PCMCIA/ISA ISDN cards, no USB at all.
PS: Please CC
Thank you

Hi Evan,
Let me just clear up some misconceptions here on ISDN.
Dual channel dialup BRI ISDN is 128kbt/sec both directions, not 64k. ISDN
channels on either a BRI or PRI ISDN can be either voice, or data, or both.
It is

You don't want ISDN. A single ISDN line is only 64K and if you don't
use a separate line for the ISDN, you interrupt your normal phone
service. To get faster ISDN, you have to put in two lines at X$ per
month. If you later switch to DSL and want to use your ISDN line(s)
for that, you're still

Yes, of course it will work, because it is an external modem/TA that is
connected to a serial port. There is no need for a special hardware support.

If your saying you want to use your ISDN modem for receiving
incoming call over standard phone lines, I don't think that is
possible. Read the documentation that came with your ISDN modem to
see if that is possible. If so, then use 'user ppp' for incoming
calls. Read man ppp. It has two different

Personally, I would get a serial port ISDN TA which supports the AT
