We recently had a FreeBSD4.7 system almost make it to 1,000 days uptime. It may have actually done it but it also appears to have rebooted itself just as it reached 1,000 days. Is anybody aware of any kind of counter overflow or anything along those lines that might have caused

Hi Lisa, The supfile just upgrades the sources. You actually have to build and install it for it to make any changes. Using the standard supfile, you can just do portupgrade -arR and it will only upgrade your ports, it won't touch the base system at all. Then when you want to upgrade the base

I have also had problems with my path not being set correctly in single user mode. This can be caused by not having /root/.profile linked to your / directory. Mergemaster used to ask about correcting this, but it doesn't seem to do so lately. ___
