new to the Unix/Linux stuff. I know the card fails, but why?
It's new and from the above three lines I am unable to find any kind of help to answer
the question.

I tend to belive that the latest php4 port with modules is broken.
I had to recompile php4 with static ssl support to allow squirelmail to
connect to to my imaps server.
Are there any other people having problems with the latest php4 port and
modules? Maybe were all just missing a crucial config
case with the linux distros we've tried, so I'm guessing it's somehow to
do with the NIC driver that BSD is loading...

Did you know that most "oh my god" RAID failures happen during the
reconstruction of a failed drive?
.Especially on SATA as the non-recoverable-bit-error math is so much
easier to run into.
I think..that on a 500G drive, there are enough bits to read/write
that mathematically you could run into a

A friend is pushing me to use Ubunutu Linux instead, saying that stuff like
this doesn't happen with it, but I'm not so convinced. After being 'sold

Two nics, same subnet..problems exist in that configuration now and again.
Im betting offhand that the traffic came in port B, but port A has the
default route for the subnet, and thats where it left the box.

Agreed with t-u-t. I tried new pc-bsd7 on my old laptop (Celeron
1,6GHz/1.5G RAM/15GB dedicated on HDD/Intel GME video) and it runs
rather good (with almost all desctop effects disabled). Not so blazing
fast of course, but still enough for doing everyday stuff.
