Have you looked at the FreeBSD handbook? It has a port about supported
hardware. http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/

Try :
http://www.ro.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/contributors/staff-core.html
and the next pages and contact them directly if you need to find out more.

But do your homework first. At least:

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my request.

It's quite possible that you'll get answers from one
of these types of people via your first post; however,
it might be more likely to happen if you'd post the
message to the advocacy@ list, possibly the chat@
list, or perhaps even the hackers@ list.
However, I'd check the charter for hackers@
before sending it there. (I don't read that one)
I'm sure you can find mailing list charters on the
freebsd.org web site (IIRC, there's one in the
handbook, among other places.)
Now, all that said, realize that I'm just a
"fan" or "general population user" of
FreeBSD, and have no official relationship
with the project other than occasional
'evangelism'.
Good luck,

Chris-

As stated in my original request, I am looking for comments from
developers regarding the development process and theory. If this list is
not able to provide that or if I've written to the wrong list, kindly
direct me to a press contact or someone who will offer a comment.

Add another penny please.

I dunno - but it seems to me that if someone, or some entity is going to write
a review, the review is based on the reviewers experiance.

to me, anything else would be considered hear-say, and really not a review at
all. More, an opinion from other sources. That being said, the sources
paraphrased would not represent a fair review in the othe camps eye.

I might suggest simply doing a head to head eval of a distro of Linux, give it
30 days, then do the same with FBSD. Then, and only then (in my eyes) could
you actually, and fairly write a review.

Just my 2 pennies.
