Meta port, x11-wm/xfce4 was not available due to x11-thems/icons-tango failure
(in fact, after recent update of graphics/ImageMagick revisions r358176, and
r358277).

Packages are only built on Wednestday, so be patient.

Unfortunately, I use xfwm4 4.11.2, but it affects also this release (and
previous). I succeeded to reproduce behavior.

Even with F11 key (usually it's shortcut for fullscreen mode)?

Patch is just workaround, not approved by upstream, and I can't see
modification for this complaint.

Do you try this command, which disable always-on-top behaviour panel?

xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -p /panels/panel-/disable-struts -t bool -n -s
true

Where is integer (usually 0 or 1).

If nothing change, you can revert value with:

xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -p /panels/panel-/disable-struts -T

[Bug 194964] deskutils/xfce4-xkb-plugin 0.5.6 missing russian (winkeys) layout

2014-11-12 Thread bugzilla-noreply
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=194964

Oops. setxkbmap missing in xorg-minimal package.
I installed it manually and create file
/usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-keyboard.conf with this contents:

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "system-keyboard"
MatchIsKeyboard "on"
Option "XkbLayout" "us,ru(winkeys)"
Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
Option "XkbVariant" ","
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle"
EndSection

All working with this settings, displayed in your screenshot.

But.
Problem with missing russian layout in xfce4-xkb-plugin is not go away.

well... unfortunately I forced to use linux(ubuntu) on my desktop (
xfce4-xkb-plugin 1:0.7.0-0ubuntu2, 0.7.0 if I understand correctly). It doesn't
have russian winkeys layout too, so, IMO right way is to ping upstream, not
fbsd port maintainer;-)

[Bug 196903] sysutils/garcon , x11-wm/xfce4-panel with unset option NLS results in GNU gettext tools not found

2015-01-19 Thread bugzilla-noreply
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196903

Bug ID: 196903
   Summary: sysutils/garcon , x11-wm/xfce4-panel with unset option
NLS results in GNU gettext tools not found
   Product: Ports & Packages
   Version: Latest
  Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
  Severity: Affects Some People
  Priority: ---
 Component: Individual Port(s)
  Assignee: x...@freebsd.org
  Reporter: mailto.kam...@gmail.com
 Flags: maintainer-feedback?(x...@freebsd.org)
  Assignee: x...@freebsd.org

I'm applying devel/poudriere on a 10.1-RELEASE to build packages for my
desktop.
Important for this is that I have unset the option NLS in my
corresponding /etc/make.conf.
During package build I noticed the following configure error in
sysutils/garcon and later in x11-wm/xfce4-panel which are required by
x11-fm/thunar:

configure: error: GNU gettext tools not found; required for intltool
===>  Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.
Please report the problem to x...@freebsd.org [maintainer] and attach the
"/wrkdirs/usr/ports/sysutils/garcon/work/garcon-0.2.1/config.log" including
the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea
to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. a
/usr/local/sbin/pkg-static info -g -Ea).
*** Error code 1

Is there a clean way to fix this, when NLS is unset?
I guess that many ports that have the NLS option will have this configure
error, when NLS is unset.

Currently, I can fix this with
  USES+=gettext-tools

Some tests need to check, before to be committed, because this application was

[Bug 198132] [exp-run] Update Xfce to 4.12.0

2015-03-01 Thread bugzilla-noreply
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=198132

I believe this part of the patch doesn't work, as USES are loaded around line
1508 of bsd.port.mk:

+++ Mk/bsd.port.mk
@@ -1906,7 +1906,7 @@
 .endif

 .if defined(USE_XFCE)
-.include "${PORTSDIR}/Mk/bsd.xfce.mk"
+USES+=xfce
 .endif

 .if defined(USE_KDE4)

During patch, those parts fail to apply:

Skipped missing target: 'sysutils/power-manager-common/Makefile'
Skipped missing target: 'sysutils/power-manager-common/pkg-plist'

Also, why do you need bsd.port.pre.mk/bsd.port.post.mk in
sysutils/power-manager-common/Makefile ? I believe it won't pull the
dependencies correctly

New round, I hope everything is fine.

sysutils/power-manager-common has been removed. There's only
sysutils/xfce4-power-manager with new patch (which fixes crash when encoding is
not utf-8).

[Bug 199009] x11-fm/thunar : won't display svg previews without librsvg2 installed

2015-03-29 Thread bugzilla-noreply

Bug ID: 199009

   Product: Ports & Packages
   Version: Latest
  Hardware: Any
OS: Any

The Thunar file manager wasn't displaying previews for svg icons. It turns out
that graphics/librsvg2 has to be installed as a runtime dependency.

I had the same exact problem on my port, devel/gps. This is what I am doing to
fix it:

RUN_DEPENDS= rsvg-convert:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/librsvg2

In reality, what is needed I think is
"lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/%%GTK2_VERSION%%/loaders/libpixbufloader-svg.so" but this
makes the RUN_DEPENDS tricky so I just picked an easy file to pull in the
package as a run depends.

When this librsvg2 library is installed, thunar displays svg icons fine.

By default Thunar does not display any preview, it's deskutils/xfce4-tumbler.
It already load gdkpixbuf2, librsvg2 is probably missing.

Feel free to add librsvg2 into deskutils/xfce4-tumbler port.

It's not necessary to use:

RUN_DEPENDS= rsvg-convert:${PORTSDIR}/graphics/librsvg2

Mk/bsd.gnome.mk provides librsvg2 detection, simply adjust USE_GNOME macro.

okay, well, I'm only reporting a problem and suggested a fix. I trust your fix
is better, and I'd prefer not to touch your ports right now. I've got some
issues with a specific portmgr that I need to iron out first.

P.S.

I just looked at bsd.gnome.mk, it sets LIB_DEPENDS.

At least for GPS, I need RUN_DEPENDS. It's not a build dependency.

I looked at source code, tumbler uses mainly gdkpixbuf functions, I prefer to
use librsvg2 into USE_GNOME.

[Bug 199166] sysutils/xfce4-power-manager: allocates ALL memory

2015-04-04 Thread bugzilla-noreply
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=199166

Bug ID: 199166
   Summary: sysutils/xfce4-power-manager: allocates ALL memory
   Product: Ports & Packages
   Version: Latest
  Hardware: amd64

Status: New

 Component: Individual Port(s)
  Assignee: x...@freebsd.org
  Reporter: t.e.spanja...@gmail.com
  Assignee: x...@freebsd.org
 Flags: maintainer-feedback?(x...@freebsd.org)

If I start up xfce4, xfce4-power-manager starts eating all memory, swap, and
then dies when it can't allocate anymore:

id 1098 (xfpm-power-backligh), uid 1001, was killed: out of swap space

For clarity, I don't even have a backlight, this is a regular desktop system.

This is rather annoying as xfce4-power-manager is required to be able to log
out of xfce4 (or at least, with it uninstalled I seem to be unable to log out).

Midori freezes and dumps a core file under my home directory(~/midori.core)
when I open a few tabs(5-6 gmail, aljazeera.com, phoronix.com) and browse for
sometime.
When this happens there is significant disk IO which made me arrive at this
issue.
I have not seen this before on a different FreeBSD machines.
Attached is the iostat log capturing the spike in disk IO, config file of
midori under my home directory.

I have same problem on old Sony Vaio laptop with current system.

Session is started by slim login manager via xfce.desktop file ("startxfce4")

Before latest update it worked. Ok, I could not change backlight, but it didn't
spent ~5 minutes tharshing my HDD with swapping.
