Follow-up Comment #1, bug #17354 (project freeciv):
Hm. I think you should only get that message if you don't have hack level
access, and I think I'd expect to have hack in the situation where you'd
expect the client loading savegames to work. I think is_safe_filename() is
objecting to the / in
Follow-up Comment #3, bug #17347 (project freeciv):
This is probably the numerical/string sorting heuristics in
client/cityrepdata.c (split_string(), etc) going wrong. You can certainly get
some funny effects by naming cities things like 0xDEADBEEF or 3.14159.
I'd guess that it's to do with the

Follow-up Comment #1, patch #2262 (project freeciv):
For what it's worth, I've checked the bound on the equivalent ruleset
definition (min_dist_bw_cities); that effectively has no upper bound
(RS_MAX_CITIES_MIN_DIST = RS_MAX_VALUE = 1), so that's all right.

The contents of this email translate Japanese into English. Therefore there is
an unnatural point in contents partly. Because I cannot write English unless I
use translation because I do not understand English, and an interpreter was not
found, please permit it the thing.

Hm. That could be caused by booting the help texts, I suppose (which I

Now I look into get_internal_string_length(), it seems pretty dodgy. I think
it assumes that sizeof(int)==4*sizeof(char), and it will fail utterly if
HAVE_ICONV is not defined.
However, you'd have to be pretty unlucky for any of that to

Also, how about leaving the civ1 and civ2 rulesets as they are? IIRC

were in those games!
