Well... Network seems to be detected out of the box in VirtualBox ... pun was not initially intended... I am using Windows... BTW... sure I should be using Arch. I means ping goole.com ping tunes.org works... but when fdnpkg checkupdates shows first line and hang there idem in lynx lynx freedos

I found why my 1.4-RC1 was "broken". Simply, I was using full-usb, where utilities are present but are not installed by default. So I was seeing packages from previous installed version of FreeDOS, for dog and rcal... because they were not installed. If I had used defaut CD version rather than F

As you are aware, we have provided a version of the FreeDOS install media as a drive image for USB Sticks for some time. While this is technically FreeDOS on USB, it is configured to be an installation source and not as a portable version of FreeDOS. But, this is extremely easy to change. :-) 1
