AD isn't really an LDAP server. You'll probably need to run Samba
in the defaults file
then it will continue on to try and authenticate against another module.
Below you can see a simple query with 'blake' being sent as both the user-name
and password. It queries the db and finds it (as expected). However it
continues to go to ldap and tries to find
Does this help?

You probably want this.
sql_user_name = %{h323-remote-address[1]}
Read man unlang. Specifically section String lengths and arrays.

What is the preferred method to configure freeradius to authenticate two
sets of users out of two databases? Should I look at running multiple
instances of freeRADIUS or can I utilize both databases with one instance?

Dear friends:
I am trying to set up a freeradius-1.1.0 server for authenticating users
using MS-CHAP passwords.
I pretend to authenticate users against shadow.
I am using the default radius.conf and users files. I have included the
microsoft dictionary in radiusclient.conf file.

I am using 1.0.2 and sql 4.1.9. My setup is very very simple. I am not

Like I said I ended up having to omit the entry for default '0' on the

No matter how I worded the default. I would get a syntax
