I had the same model MDD as you and one of my CPUs bit the dust a couple of years ago. I decided a speed update would help too so I bought a dual 1.42GHz CPU off ebay and used that which works fine. Then a friends MDD started playing up so I sold him my logicboard and bought the matching FW800
