If these are G5 install disks, it must be Classic as no G5 will boot OS9. Your
logic is sound, but it's still scary, right? 99.9% chance you will do no harm
and you will have Classic at the other end of the operation
Just looked at my G5 system disks, there are 2, both are gray. The 2nd disk is
marked "Includes Mac OS 9.2". Hope that helps.

G4 MDD Dual 1.0GHz (10.4.11) here is barely adequate, have to continually
change my YouTube resolution to 360, but it works fine for Word and most other
things. I plan on upgrading, but only because I feel its limitation

Apple site to see if it's still available. You can get there from Quicktime.

Acer 23". No core image though...
This is via DMI. Interestingly, it will not work properly on my 47" Vizio via
DMI to HDMI cable, though analog 1920x1080 via VGA adapter works great.

Power supplies are a bitch requiring removing almost everything. My 2.3 dual
core went abruptly with a flash and a stench. However, you may be having
problems with coolant leaking onto your electronics, which is worse. Check this
out IMMEDIATELY!
