googled usb parallel Agere Systems macintosh, but I couldn't find
anything related (mostly is Linux stuff).
Any idea?
You might want to check that the parallel port on the printer is
enabled. If it was last used in another environment then it might not
be open.

it was a lot of cabling and my only Hi-8 source camcorder had mono
audio, one of the reasons I went looking for a 300 series Sony

The Mac 128 is usually worth more than any of the other early
macs...as an example.

For these you would have to wire up the handfull of power tips yourself.

There are good laser printers that do a good job on photos but I don't
know of any larger than 11X17. What is she trying to print?

just too expensive for me, both on ebay and LEM.
I notice the machine specific disks often go for prices in my range
but are hard to identify.
I really need to upgrade. I am running 10.3.9 and some stuff I want to
do requires 10.4.
Thanks for any help.

Do you have a DVD ROM for your QS?
Yes,
I installed a current aftermarket DVD-RW so I am looking for media in
any form.
I intend to run an older copy of Final Cut Pro that I have on the QS.

You probably can get it for openers if you want to bid the minimum. I
checked completed sales and there were several recently sold below
$200 including one for $125. Looks like prices are dropping.

I would recommend the Epson Perfection V700.

If you anywhere close to Eugene Oregon, Next Step Recycling has a
thrift store with lots of older macs. Right now any G4 tower less than
500Mhz is $100. They have too many.
I don't think they do mail order. It is a regular stop for me.

Check out the Yahoo group dishrip. It has 27,000 members.
It doesn't really cover your DVR but it has lots of good information

Good luck.

Oh well, going to have to wait for a while.

Works well with the Macs. It replaced a networked Laserjet 5 that also

My next printer I am looking for is a Epson 2400 printer with pigment

is the latest, most powerful version.
Adobe Creative Suite (CS), the first generation of the software would
easily work as would CS2.
I think CS3 would install but would want more memory. The latest
version I have worked with is CS2.
Hope this helps.

Since i am using CS and 10.3.9 i am not sure if that is the problem.
