Actually, I have an XClaim VR128 in my old, G4-accelerated 7500 in the basement (which used to be my main computer). Always assumed the video ports were just for input. I might look into that and see if I can use the 7500 in this manner instead (since that card won't cost me anything additional).

I was wanting to turn an old Beige G3 desktop machine of mine into a video game box and thought I'd be able to simply run RCA (or S- Video) from the personality card's outputs to my TV's inputs. Although the sound comes through, I can NOT get the picture on the TV. The ONLY way I've been able to

My first Beige g3 minitower worked great with the tv as its only monitor. I thing there might be a key you press at startup. There also might be an extension. How fast is the computer? The older beige g3s had and older video card that made the video inputs and outputs look like crap. However, the

Don't give up. Once you get it working it will work great. I know someone who uses a beige g3 as a dvd player wit her tv. For really good quality input and out put you will need to get a beige g3 with the later revision motherboard. If you look on the motherboard it will tell you what video card

Jonas: I'm pretty sure it's a Revision 2 board. Most of the Beige G3s I bought at surplus were Revision 2 (unless this is the one I got as a giveaway from the local newspaper). Seems all the Revision 1 desktops I ever ran across has the round CD eject button. This one has the normal rectangular
