Hi Tom.
While I agree, to an extent that is true of any adventure game
unfortunately, it certainly is true of Graille to the thief which is a much
more recent release.
There are of course some games like INquisitor that have extra little side
turning or things to discover on a second run, plus
Hi.
I'd say the bavisoft games are worth a play certainly, my problem is that I
finished both on the day I got them. Grizly gulch has a llittle replay value
if you put the speed up sinse then you've got essentially a bunch of casino
games and an arcade shooter, but the same is sadly not true o
It's interesting that audio adventures (as I've called the genre on
audiogames.net), are now becoming far more common and we have some rather
better examples like the inquisitor games and codename signus, not to

Well for the public record I'd like the exec files for both of them if
anybody has them and is willing to share. If the company was stil in
business, I'd have not a problem paying.

Hi Simon,
I take it by your comments that you have never played any of the
Bavisoft games completely through. It is for that reason I think your
opinion might be a bit premature. Weather the games are good or bad or
not is of course highly subjective, but the thing that really turned

King Gremlin as I like to call him, I actually would consider him more of a
miniboss since there's no cutscene or explanation before you fight him.

Yeah. Jump right a few times, turn and shoot her, then jump left over her
before she hits you. Jump as soon as the arrow leaves the string, don't wait
for it to hit her. So the pattern is basically jump right a few times, turn
and shoot her, then immediately jump left a few times, turn back and
I totally agree with your sentiments. I think she should have been a
later boss too.
I was so frustrated that I was wishing for cheat codes, just so I could
get past her. But after a couple hours of trying, I finally beat her.
You need to hit her, then jump over her, then try to hit her again,
Wrong thread I think.

Hi guys, I'm really struggling to beat the Grey lady in The Gate. I've
tried the jumping 4 times to the right away from her, then turning back and
shooting, but nothing works. I shoot and hit her once, then when I jump
quickly to my right, she gets me, no matter how quickly I jump. What am I
To be honest I remember when this thing came about.
In the audiogames forum the games can be shared though to be honest
every effort was made to contact bavisoft on and off forum several times
its not like no one tried.

Hi Jody,
Unfortunately, that is true. There is a lot of things the developer of
Bavisoft could have and probably should have done, but he strikes me
as not really giving a care. He wrote Chillingham and Grizzly Gulch

What displeases me is that the developer didn't make arrangements for
his games to be found after development ended. At least BSC games
could be found even when development had ended.

Hi Simon,
I understand your position and why you disagree. However, as the
legality of sharing the Bavisoft games are in doubt we still consider
sharing them on list piracy. At least officially. What you and others

something painfully obvious that I’m missing. S

Hi Tom.
I believe you no longer need the perceptions edition gamebook to play the
7-128 games, and can just buy them separately if you wish.
The gamebook does save you money which helps, and you can still run the
7-128 games from it, but I don't believe it's exclusively necessary anymore,

Hi Maureen,
7-128 Software games are tested against Windows XP, Win 7, Win 8, and we
are presently testing on Win 10. The Perceptions GameBook contains the
engine that runs our games. You can buy a game independently, but it
costs less to buy the GameBook than the same number of single games
Hi all,
Just a note to the list. As Grizzly Gulch is still technically a
commercial game and was never officially abandoned by the developer if
you so wish to share the game with Simon please do so off list.
Thanks.

Hi Maureen,
Yes, the 7-128 games will work with Windows 7 64-bit. They are
compatible with most versions of Windows as far as I am aware of.
