Hi Bryan,
Yeah, that was why I took out the strange effect James North was using.
In trying to create Monty I am attempting to give each item a very
realistic sound scheme.

Hi,
Well, one of the reasons such a key stroke doesn't exist at this point
is I felt the game would be more challenging having to use your ears to
judge when it is time to jump over a particular monster rather than
pressing a key and it saying skull in 5 feet etc. Still the feature
would come
Hi,
Alpha 1 did have that feature, and in ways I personally felt it made the
game too easy. However, i am willing to listen to everyones thoughts
hear and add it if it is inhigh demand.
As you said it would be possible to work only in easy, but might be
confusing for some folks.

Hi Charles,
I can't go as far to say it is a useless key stroke, but I do agree that
adding it might take away some of the challenge in this game. james
North gave as little info as was necessary for exactly that reason. To
give the game some challenge.
However, I do understand some gamers have

Hi Tom:
I found that I was having difficulties with jumping over monsters so could
there be a keystroke for announcing how far you are from the monsters?
Thanks

Hi,
I do strongly encourage you to leave it as it is now. I am sure there was
no
distance indication in the original game either, you could just judge only
by your eyes, as well as we can only judge by our ears. I feel

Hi:
You guys are totally right that it would be more challenging but sometimes
you don't really know when to jump because you aren't sure how far the
charactor will jump so maybe you could just have it for the easy level

Just because a key is usable in the game doesn't mean someone has to use it.
Or it could be a toggle or something.

That's true. I myself have gotten fairly good at that so even if it were
added I'd probably never use it. My suggestion though would have been to add
it but only set it to work on the easiest difficulty setting
Hi,
Right. I imagine I can just let the gamer decide for him or herself if
they want to use it or not.

Hi Lukas,
Yeah, not having the feature certainly is more challenging, but demand
for the feature is mounting. I suppose those of us who want a challenge
doesn't have to use it, or I can restrict it to only easy levels of play.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for the various suggestions. I've never quite thought about it
quite that way, but interesting to think about.
As for your beep idea I do remember James North had special approach
sounds that played when the monster was close enough to jump over. For
example skulls would do a
Hi,
Well, the manual states you can jump up to 4 feet in either direction.
The real trick with this game is to listen closely, probably stand
still, until the monster is near and jump over it. That said you have to
train your ear to do this.
If I put in a announcement, sound, or some kind of
