Hello Ben,
Scansoft Daniel is a commercial product. It is not free. Therefore we
can not legally give it to you. Please, stop asking people to pirate
software on list.

Hi,
Keep in mind the Real Speak Solo voices only come with Jaws 8 and Jaws
9. Jaws 10 and up come with the Real Speak Direct voices which are not
Sapi 5 compatible.

Hi Ben,
No, sorry it is not. If they purchased an upgrade to Jaws 9 or
Openbook 8 or something like that they probably got it as a part of
their upgrade from Freedom Scientific. They may have thought it was
free, but those voices are commercial voices and I’m not even sure the

I eventually reformatted the system after I got enough stuff to

Hi John,
Well, I'm glad I was able to help. The JNA is a fairly recent Java
development that allows you to quickly wrap static Windows libraries,
and use them in a Java application. Obviously, the advantages are
huge here as it allows you to extend your application beyond the Java
JRE and use
hmmm that would work
however av and other security programs like to detect vbs scripts as viruses.
but yeah that is a point not sure how usefull it would be.

Hi John,
Ideally I'd use something like the JNI or JNA to wrap SAPI directly,
but I think using a VB Script is definitely the easiest way to go
about it in your case. I'm no expert on this topic, but it sounds like
something that is worth a try.
The only downside to this I can see is that SAPI
