something vaguely similar happpened with me, but I found that once I'd entered my score, though the game's sound continued, I could just end it with Q or with alt F4 to close the window, and it certainly didnt interfere with anything else. Then again though, sinse Hal doesn't do the business

Hi Jamie, You need to find the time turner necklace, pick it up check your inventory and hit enter on it. Then the f3 key saves your game. You have 14 save slots to choose from but I suggest writing down a note to yourself on what floor you are on because the chapter numbers are not always
