Re: [Audyssey] Great news everyone! Accessible Facebook Game!

2007-11-29 Thread ari
Hi Greg,
Facebook is a sort of, I really don't know how to describe it, social
networking type site, I don't know if you've maybe heard of Myspace? There
are games on there, because developers make applications to use through
Facebook. I've also tried BlackJack, no luck with it though, it says you
must choose how much you want to put on the table but it says that's at the
bottom-left of the screen, but there doesn't seem to be any JAWS control to
do this, I can't go further with that one, it doesn't seem to use a standard
web Interface. With WarBook, it actually is seeming OK, but there are
numbers there which don't seem to be labelled, I'm not too sure what some of
them stand for.

Also, the ultimate soundoku, from
www.draconisentertainment.com

It is Sudoku in an audible format. It sounds easy, but is not. You have a 9
by 9 grid, divided into 9 3-by-3 grids. In the more difficult mode, you
have 16 4-by-4 grids. In the easier skill level, the numbers 1 through 9
are supposed to appear once down each column, once across each row, and once
in each 3-by-3 grid. The same is true in the more difficult skill level,
except that the letters A through G are also used in the puzzles. At the
beginning of the game, some of the numbers or numbers and letters are
already placed, and cannot be changed. You must fill in the remainder of
the board. It's a real brain drain, and it's fun.

 Hi Arry.

Well I can't think of anything specifically accessible, but any form of
Simon game is pretty good for memory practice, and Jim's is great!

For spacial and positional logic, mine sweeper from Gma, and the various
solitare or sudocu games would do the job I believe. for problem solving,
there's jim Kitchen's mastermind and the sticks game from Lworks, and of
course for vocabulary and linguistic stuff, just play Hangman, - and
 for
a real challenge, there are boggle and word targit from spoonbil games. In
fact nerely all the spoonbill games are fairly intensive brain training in
one respect or another, so that might be a good place to start.

 Hth.

[Audyssey] reguarding homer

2007-11-29 Thread Dark
Hi Jim.

Appologies, I didn't kno tis was an actual game, sinse I missed the start of te
topic. One problem I'm having though is revving my engine properly with the
ctrl key. It's entirely possible though that this is because at the moment, I'm
using my friend's spare usb keyboard, -- which is pretty pants and only had
one ctrl key (and no number pad), it worked okay in Monty and a couple of other
games, but maybe it's causing trouble for Homer. I'm certainly getting a new
one soon so I'll be able to try it properly then.

Btw, I love the samples.

Two ways. You either collect them by finding them or you use the all

 Hi Hunter,
Two ways. You either collect them by finding them or you use the all
weapons cheat code which gives you all weapons at the beginning of the
game. Nice thing about cheat codes in order to get them you have to
beat

 the game on easy first.

Having cheats though pretty much said Iwas going to win that fight no

say, I wouldn't even be scratched until level 9.

Re: [Audyssey] Shades of Doom was Hi

2007-11-29 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Bryan,
I think you are right. I know on Shades of Doom my old 1.0 cheat codes
didn't work for 1.2 and i had to go through and play for them again
which wasn't all that hard for me. I've pretty much gotten good enough
at the game I don't even use the scope 90% of the time for targeting. I
just center my target in my head phones and blast him or it.
I've found with the night scope off my centering and firing reaction
time has gone up. I can usually do machine gun and laser pistal duels
with enemies with lightning spead.

Re: [Audyssey] Shades of Doom was Hi

2007-11-29 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
I obviously can't tell you what to do, but I can lend some advice for
what it is worth.
Seriously, buying the cheat codes is a mistake in my opinion. Sure it
will allow you to cheat to your hearts desire, but it will also have
some side effects you need to be aware of.

1. Cheat codes do not work on the boss level in 1.2. As a result you
will be marching around thinking you are Mr. Invincible, and suddenly
discover you have no cheats to fall back on. If you don't know how to
live without those cheats you are going to be in deep trouble on level
9. So you really need some practice without cheats in order to face the
boss and his monster guards.
2. Cheat codes don't allow you to pick up ammo, power ups, and other
things on the level while some cheat codes are on. As a result if you
have a cheat like all ammo active when you hit level 9 and you haven't
collected anything the minute your cheats are disabled you can easily
find your self in a situation with little ammo, power, etc to complete
the game. This is a big reason for not using too many cheats and not to
be in cheat mode all the time.
3. Cheat codes can potentially make the game so easy that you never
really learn how to play without them. For example if you had unlock any
lock on you would never know what security chip does what because you
can pick the lock for any door, crate, or lever, you find.

Bottom line, cheat codes is a personal thing, but I did want to give you
at least the side effects of using them. Yeah, you can use them, but in
the end cheaters can find themselves in trouble in a situation they
either can't find there cheat codes, or when they reach level 9 and have
no cheats to fall back on.

Cheers.

[Audyssey] Sarah sleeping?

2007-11-29 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Phil and all,
I grabbed the sleeping potion from the hospital wing, went into the
first floor broom closet to experiment with it, and naturally Sarah fell
a sleep. One odd thing i noticed is when Sarah was sleeping it sounded
like a guy sleeping rather than a gal. Is this true that you used a male
sleeping sound instead of a female sleeping sound for Sarah sleeping?
I'm asking because I got a chuckle out of the sound. One moment I was
playing this teenage girl witch, and after drinking the potion it sounds
like this old guy sleeping or something. Definitly not at all what I
expected. Hmmm... If true perhaps you might want to get Sarah to record
and fake a sleeping effect for the game. Grin

Cheers.

Having cheats though pretty much said Iwas going to win that fight no
matter what happened. If I used the invincible to monsters cheat, per
say, I wouldn't even be scratched until level 9.

[Audyssey] Monte: speed/chalenge game

2007-11-29 Thread Karl
Hi,
Here's a chalenge: play Monte. Pick up only potions and keys. No
swords, no torches, no treasure. I got a score of 17300 doing this on
easy, but I unfortunately picked up 1 gem by mistake on level 1.

 you need 2 points.
then you push control c to get the codes.
then read cheats.txt found in the sod folder in program files.
Or you buy the cheats, they are like 10 bucks.

Hi Hunter,
Two ways. You either collect them by finding them or you use the all
weapons cheat code which gives you all weapons at the beginning of the
game. Nice thing about cheat codes in order to get them you have to beat

the game on easy first.

 Hi,
What area is it in on the ground floor?
 Original message:
 Hi all,
Earlier today while playing I noticed there appeared to be a door on the
ground floor that does absolutely nothing. I've tried jimmying it with
the pen knife, doing aloha mora on it, tried every password and no show.
All Sarah does is say, come on and open would you? What am I doing
wrong or is this door just for show?

 Cheers.

Re: [Audyssey] Sarah Inaccessible door.

2007-11-29 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Karl,
I believe it was down the coridor near the windows. I'd have to go back
in and play chapter 1 again and get exact coordinates for it. Funny
thing was it only shows up on the list of objects, but it doesn't make a
sound or identify itself on the object announcement.
I detected it so I figured others had seen this as well.As a result I
didn't take down note of where this was very well.
