Hi Hunter. No, British coinage like American is for small denomination currencies. The coinage scale is as follows: 1 penny, 2 pence, 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, 50 pence, 1 pound, 2 pound and there was a five pound coin in circulation at one time though whether it still is I don't know.

I like the idea of just listing the coin values in the manual and being done with it. It doesn't hurt to take five minutes to learn that penny = 1, nickel = 5, dime = 10, quarter = 25, and dollar = 100. It's also not holy important to have coins adding up to any particular dnomination so
