But that's my problem. I don't want to finish the game before quitting.
Because I have figured out that if I use myself on the journal I can
save my game in one of 5 slots. So after saving I want to quit. I
haven't came across a barn yet.

well the game never seems to have an exit function.
The easiest way to get out is to die.
Finnish the game then go to the barn and pull the switch.
You die, the game ends and you can quit it normally.

Yes, definitely. Anyone who goes to my site right now will find a gameplay
recording of Armageddon, but it's not a review or a real demo. I would love
to have one. Or two. Or even five!

Re: [Audyssey] Sryth

2006-10-10 Thread Brandon Cole
Hi there,
I can help ya here. When you are shown a list of items, clicking on the
item's name will take it. The information letting you know that you did
indeed take it appears in a different frame, however. This may be what is
confusing you. Also, clicking on the question mark link by each item will
make a description of that item appear in that same lower frame. Hope that
helps.
Sincerely,
Brandon

Re: [Audyssey] Mach1 problems and bugs.

2006-10-10 Thread shaun everiss
another thing is if the mods are good enough they will want to share
it, and if the dev in question is willing to post a section on mods
on their site well the game becomes endless.
Audioquake for example is a mod of quake in itself.
However the 2 popular mods, overkill and jedyquake are most played.
I don't really like the audioquake standard mod but the rest is all right.

[Audyssey] descend into madness

2006-10-10 Thread Nicol
Hi all
I think descend into maddness is a cool game. I think you can classify it as a
menu driven text adventure. Is it almost like chillingham? My problem that
I'm having: I can't find a way to quit the game. The only way out I found
to quit is to use the task manager and click the end task button. Is there
another way to quit the game than to use task manager?
thanks

Re: [Audyssey] Raceway wish list item

2006-10-10 Thread Gary Whittington
I got to make my wishes too. Smiles

IN car stats: I still need to hear the demo and the game may support the
following.

HOt keys to see fuel, sppeed and red line to that one don't blow engine.
A distance stat: Telling me
1. Where is the leader is at compared to to me
Say if the track is rating at being 200 block and the leader is ahead of me
190 blocks. Then I know I would need to start charging or go fast to keep
from being lapped.
2. the nearest car ahead of me. This would be bood if I don't hear any car
in front of me I would like to know how many blocks or say car lenths ahead
of me. I may then decided to just drive normal and see if I am catching
ground or losing then have to start charging. And if the car ahead is
getting close real fast I going to have to back off, not to drive up and
clip the slower car that may having car problems.

Lastly, Pit options
Getting gas, fill the tank or half tank.
Tires 2 to 4 and which side.
Spoiler more or less. This can be used with a down or up keys like Home/end
or PG down/PG Up. A percentage of the spoiler would sound off to tell the
changes.

Smiles, Problem, is there is so many wishes for the game I have to stop
right heare due to size restrictions.

Re: [Audyssey] Raceway, news, plans, and updates.

2006-10-10 Thread Gary Whittington
The point system is right on the money, Tom, and as you know there will
always going to be rules changes and to stay current, makes Raceway,
certainly a game that is going to have updates. AS I mentioned many times
as Raceway should be a game that should be a game that will live on with
updates being rules changes and add ons.

When I had mentioned car pagckages, it would be great to have ar packages of
older NASCAR's cars and the set of rules for that period of time.

Checking out NASCAR stats, you can get an Idea of drivers finsihing races.
Due to either crashes or car troubles should be included in the AI for all
drivers. You may have a great driver but the car lets them down. Also
better race teams are going to have better pit crews and must be a factor in
the AI as well.

NOw on, a text NASCAR racing game I used to play had a break down like this:
Pit Crew were graded A - D A being the best.
Cars used the small grading. So lower the rating the better the car will
not finish the race.
Driver, Also used the grade system. A driver with (A) is a driver that can
do really great with the Crew Pit and Car is both A's. This driver can also
with with the ratings are not A's So in reverse a rookie may get a (D)
rating and crashes.

During a race when a crash happens better drivers will be able to avoid the
wreak while others will get tangled in the mess. Of course, this will also
depend on how the cars are bunched together and close they are in the pack.
A (D) driver can still get around the pile up, only if there is enough
response time.

Lastly, the rating for the Car is mostly the rating on how well the engine
is built to go 500 miles. Also, the lower the pit crew rating the more
chances they will not be able to repair the in the pits or in the garge.
Yes, there should be at times that cars will need to held to the garage to
massive rrepiars. That means a bunch of laps lost, but the car may be
repairable and its the better crews that will get the car out of the garage
faster.

Re: [Audyssey] bscgames

2006-10-10 Thread Tom Randall
hello Mark.

Thanks for mentioning this problem, this is the first we have heard of
it this week. No one I am aware of is having difficulty connecting to
the BSC Games web sites or posting scores. Please try to connect again
today and drop me a note at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let me know your
results and I will look into it further if you are still having trouble.
That of course goes for anyone else on this list who is having trouble
with this as well.

Please do not write me about this issue at this address this is my home
address.

Does anyone know why some people are having problems accessing bscgames
website? I have not been able to go there for some time now. This also
means I cannot post scores. Any information will be welcome.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let yall know that, with his permission, Yohandy's Mortal
Kombat demonstration is now on my site in the gaming section. There is also
a new section there for audio samples of games without the review element.
It's for those times when you want to hear what a game sounds like without
sitting through a review. Enjoy, everyone.
Sincerely,
Brandon

Re: [Audyssey] Mach1 problems and bugs.

2006-10-10 Thread Jim Kitchen
Hi Thomas,

We had a discussion on the list about artistic copy write etc as with regards
to modifying all of the sounds of Mach 1. Not to mention that the sound file
that says "By Jim Kitchen" could have been changed. It was not, but could have
been. I just feel that my games should be played the way that I make them or
maybe not at all. You know after all of the work that I put into making them.
Now if you want to make your games so that they can be modified, that is up to
you. I know that other developers make their games so that they can not be
modified and even so that their sound files can not be copied and used for
other games.

DirectX does not have the playback frequency range that TegoSoft does and Mach
1 uses. So converting Mach 1 to DirectX would mean just about a total rewrite
which I do not plan to do.

BFN
