Re: [Audyssey] RS Games Uno and Monopoly
Hi people. I just wanted to let you know my impressions about this two games after two weeks of tests. Firstavol I'm impressed with how much fun we can get with them. I'm surprised that not many people are talking here about them. They are very nice games, with online gaming that works perfectly, with a chat system where we can interact with real people, cool sounds etc. In my opinion both games are really well made, very accessible, very simple to learn and use and with their development they are getting better and better. I think that their team deserves our support and it's worth to try because the games are fun, and because we play onlyne with real people we can have a lot of hours of fun. I specially like the scoring system of uno. With S key we can have the information of how many points have the players of our table and with that we can make a real race until the win with 500 points. See you in some uno table. I am Jorge there. [Audyssey] Please help spread the following information
For all of my blind friends who have a interest in flying your own airplanes. I ask that you read the letter that's down below and help to spread the word about a new blind friendly flight simulator. Are you a interested blind person who if were sighted knows that they'd be flying in a airplane as a pilot for a career? Are you a retired pilot because you are now blind and are unable to continue to fly in your chosen career? If you're a retired pilot because you're blind, would you like to get back into the cockpit once again and to also share your knowledge and experiences to keep this program as realistic as possible? Then be sure to read the letter that's down below my intro letter; it includes all of the information that you'll want to know about the IYP flight simulator application that's blind friendly. If this interests you, or if you know of a fellow blind person that this might interest as well, then please read the letter and it's attachment down below and then pass it along to as many people that you know might be interested. I think once you test fly the program you'll be as hooked as this blind pilot love to be is. Also for tips and tricks we have our own blind pilots mailing list as well. If you'd like to subscribe to that list go to b...@googlegroups.com I thank you and now here's the letter that I'd like everyone to read and help circulate to every interested blind person who wished that they could fly. From Pacific Feelings Media, Corporate Office 36025 Empress Drive Abbotsford, BC V3G 1L2, Canada This letter, dated September 2010, is directed to organizations that help the blind to enjoy life to the fullest, and to all interested blind or visually impaired people. I'm a blind pilot, but at one time in the past I used to fly the real thing. I love your program. It has given me back some part of my old life that I was forced to leave behind thanks for giving me back my wings. Roy - Australia The above quote was sent to us by one of the many pilots who are using our program, It's Your Plane (IYP), in conjunction with Microsoft's Flight Simulator, to enable them to fly a variety of aircraft using their computers. We hope to encourage more blind and visually impaired (BVI) people to join the ranks of aviation fans around the world, thereby enabling them to participate and contribute to our passion in a way no one would have thought possible just a few short years ago. In this regard, I would like to arrange to meet with your group. In case you are not familiar with flight simulation, let me explain. Microsoft developed a program called Flight Simulator to give people the virtual thrill of flying from their home computers. Robert Cezar, the owner of Pacific Feelings Media, originally came up with the idea of using Microsoft's program together with speech recognition software, to help novice users fly their aircraft in a more realistic way, by communicating with an extremely intelligent Co-Pilot named Michelle (there's also Mike). The application is called It's Your Plane (IYP). This venture gained momentum and a slew of extra features was added to the IYP software. At that time, the flight sim hobby was not an option for the majority of blind people. This was soon to change! A little over a year ago, a small group of young, blind people approached us and told us that they were using our software to fly. After many hours of discussion, and trial and error, we released the next version of IYP that was more tailored towards blind and visually impaired pilots. Many more BVI pilots have joined our user base since then, and the development has never stood still. At least once a month we have introduced new features to help the BVI group get a better understanding of what it takes to fly and navigate an aircraft. We have a forum that caters specifically to blind people in which many BVI users help each other, and we are proud of the fact that they are getting more and more knowledgeable about this hobby. I am another blind pilot enthusiast who really is getting back into it after a year off because no software existed that I could use before It's Your Plane came around. I do want to sincerely thank you so very much for your efforts and your willingness to work with us who are blind and giving us the opportunity to fly and enjoy this awesome software. Mike - USA For further information, I have attached a letter from one of the original group of young blind pilots. We have now reached a point where we feel that more blind and visually impaired people should have the chance of getting their wings. Although I travel quite a bit, I live in Rancho Cordova, California, and would like to arrange a mutually convenient time for us to explore the opportunity for your special group to learn more about the art of flying, and to experience the thrill that most of us sighted people tend to take for granted. Thank you kindly for your time and attention. Yours sincerely, Helen E.

[Audyssey] Loan Wolf mission1
Hi I was just wondering if it's possible for me to chace a ship in Loan Wolf if it passes me by? I'm thinking of that dratted aircraft carrier! It seems to go quite fast iether that or I run out of torpedos. It says in the mission statement that I don't need to move from my location but could I still chace that carrier? It's stopping me completing my mission on time! Thanks from Lori. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] Loan Wolf mission1
I suppose that you could. But you would fail the mission, plus, notice the top speed of your sub compared to the speed that the aircraft carrier. You can travel at 17 knots, and the aircraft carrier is traveling at 25. Unless you damage the aircraft carrier first, to slow it down, there would be no point in chasing what can outrun you. --- Shepherds are the best beasts! - Original Message - From: Lori Duncan lori_dunca...@hotmail.com To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Saturday, September 11, 2010 9:48 AM Subject: [Audyssey] Loan Wolf mission1 Hi I was just wondering if it's possible for me to chace a ship in Loan Wolf if it passes me by? Re: [Audyssey] Please help spread the following information
Hi Kelly. I picked up my copy of Microsoft Flight simulator version x which is version ten one day out of the last week of October of 2009. It ran me $44 and some change. IYP will cost you an additional roughly $50. but the up grades are free. So that's a one time fee of $50. If you would like? Go to the IYP web page and go down to the You tube videos and or the new you tube videos. or if you already have a copy of fsx, down load the 15 day free demo. With the 15 day demo, you have access to test out all of the features but you're restricted to the Cessna 172 Sky Hock. The only real drawn back is that it's all talk interface. But the good news is that it's as real as you'll ever get. It also looks like there'll be a FSX version for 2010. If anyone has that version? We'd appreciate someone telling us 1. where they were able to pick it up at or if it could be down loaded. 2. If there's a discount for we who alread have FSX. 3. What they thought of it and if it's worth up grading or staying with just the FSX? Thanks. Re: [Audyssey] Please help spread the following information
oh yes you have to pay for it. and its not totally accessible you still have to navigate fs and things. I think it costs 30-40 bucks but not sure. To be honest I pulled a friend's coppy of fs2002 and fiddled with it. However, I don't know all the airport codes and other things so i didn't bother for long.
