Re: [Audyssey] bowling -- the real thing

2008-03-13 Thread Fun Times
Hi Everett,
I use to belong to a blind bowlers league and we used a bowling rail which
is set up on the left or right side of the alley and you use the free hand
to follow the rail down the approach and after a few tries you get a feel of
the alley. The rail is held up with two bowling balls and is out of the way
of the other bowlers. I found that larger cities bowling alleys some times
have these rails if you ask for them. I bought one for myself and it folded
up into a package about three feet long and about six inches around. My
average score was around 130, which I thought was a bit low, but we had
blind bowlers that constantly got 200 or more. Hope you continue to bowl.
Try your local bowling alley for a rail, they may be able to order one or
one of the adaptive stores should be able to get you one.

Subject: [Audyssey] bowling -- the real thing

So I went bowling with my cousin and girlfriend a couple days ago and loved
it. Problem with that is that I made myself look like a complete fool much
of the time because I couldn't find a good technique to gage where things
were. I usually line up with the little ball dispensor thingy and head out
about eight steps, then let 'er go. Anyone got any techniques they use to
bowl in real life... that is, if anyone relaly does bowl in real life here.
This list is pretty eclectic as far as age range and interests, so I figured
Id give it a try. Thanks guys.

aah.
you have not opened the right file.
the file is located in the c drive program files, coman files folder.
its in microsoft shared in the speech folder.
oh if you run it you won't know if it runs or not because there is no
interface but it has ran.
open sapi.cpl then hit ok.
again.
the errors will have gone for once only however after you reopen the sapi
control panel although the speech recognition error will appear the other
will not appear.

You aren't running the correct file. You need to open
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Speech
and then run sapisvr.exe.
It won't prompt you, but just run.

I'm afraid I have no idea why you might be getting runtime errors with

 Hi all,
I guess this question would probably be better for Jim, but has anyone
else noticed that the computer player makes huge purchasing mistakes and
doesn't know how to play Monopoly properly?
For example the computer player will land on an expensive green property
but have $11 in cash. It will decide to purchase the property anyway and
morgadge everything to get it. Yeah, that is legal for the game, but is
usually a risky move that will end the player in losing the game soon. I
suppose it would be ok for the computer to try it for absolutely
necessary properties, but I notice it does it over and over again until
it runs out of money and commits financial suicide.
Another mistake I saw was when the computer player decided to unmorgadge
something it started automaticly with the most expensive properties.
Duh, if you are trying to get some houses up unmorgadge the less
expensive properties, and get some houses on them, and once they bring
in some cash then unmorgadge the moreexpensive properties and build on
 them.
In short I hate to be critical, but the computer player for Monopoly 6
doesn't have a head for business at all. I can see several moves ahead
and see when the computer player is making massive blunders and this or
that is going to end up in the computer losing.
When the computer player makes such blunders I am master enough of
computer and board based monopoly to capatilise on the computer's
blunders and make huge proffets etc usually killing the computer even
 faster yet.

I have actually completed this particular sector, but now I don't know how
to get out of it. I've destroyed the train and probably every enemy. now
 what?

Well, one thing you can do is to drive slowly forward and activate your

i mentioned earlier. Once you've destroyed them, it should be easier,
 but

 i
don't quite remember how to actually get to the train, although i have
 done
 it.

  Hi all.
One quick question. Where can I intercept the train? I can not find
  it.
I have tried about 20 times to find it, but always get bogged down in
battle with tanks or bunkers, and by the time I get clear the train is
  gone and game over.
