[Audyssey] Tekken 3 move list
Hi Dakotah, wow, thanks for the tip! I thought gamefaqs.com should be a reliable source of advice but I better asked on the list first, hoping an experienced gamer would be able to give me some directions... :-) Well, I got the PSX emulator itself configured and working perfectly, the game runs fine, my brother has described the basic 10 characters selection screen to me, so I can already play just okay. I will still have to get him describe the main menu layout, the options menu and the character screen as I unlock more characters again. :-) Love this game so much! Most of the easy to control characters you mentioned also used to be my favourites, especially Paul as he has one attack that could take the opponent's whole life at once if you were lucky. :-) But I have a problem. Whenever I attempt to retrieve the move list faq from GameFAQs, with either Window-EYES 5.5 or Jaws 7.10 but always using MS IE 7, the browser seems to crash when loading the page, my laptop's fan starts working at maximum performance and the screen reader just stops talking entirely. I have to kill Iexplore in the task manager to get the computer to talk to me again. :-) Don't know at all why this is happening. So, I am asking you again as your insightful reply from yesterday was just cool, for help. Could you please provide me with a direct link to a full and comprehensive move list of all the available characters, or perhaps even send it to me in a plain text file if possible? I know I must be pretty demanding, but I just have no clue why the GameFAQs page crashes my browser and I would really love to be able to learn the character moves somehow... Thanks a lot for any help in advance and sorry for bothering you again... Wish I was able to cope it on my own, just like with the emulator, but I'm probably just too lazy already. :-D Lukas --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. [Audyssey] Top Speed tournament again - last minute call for racers
HI list, I am starting to fall behind in the discussion again as I lack free time, but I have proposed a Top Speed tournament here some time ago, and I must finish what I've promised. So far, we have only 5 players, but I'd be delighted to get more and to complete this whole business even before Christmas, as I'll have even less time then. Please, anyone who is interested, write to me directly or add this e-mail address (lukas.hosn...@seznam.cz) to your MSN contacts - yes, I've finally started to use it, exclusively for the purpose of this tournament. If there are enough affiliates by Sunday, then I will speed things up and finally begin, otherwise I shall cancel this proposition. I will also write a call to the Klango gaming forum. Dark, I'd like to ask you very much to please forward this announcement also to the Audiogames forum, as I haven't registered there yet and I won't be able to do it right now, nor during the weekend. I feel there could be enough interested players there who do not read this list as often or at all... So, if it's not a problem for you, I'd be very grateful... Thanks a lot for reading and I hope to see you all on the track really soon! Yeah. [Audyssey] Top Speed 2.1 tournament
Hi list! I am probably supposed to introduce myself briefly, as I used to be an active member of this list some months or years ago bud then I had to retreat and stay quiet for a long period due to certain unpleasant circumstances, which means that many of the present members have already probably forgotten about me, and any newcomers won't know me at all. I never ceased to bean active audiogamer, however, even when there was no public word from me to the blind-gaming community. :-) My name is Lukas Hosnedl (the first name is gonna be tough enough for native speakers, I think, so it will do :-D), I am 18 years old, I live in the Czech Republic (let's say that it's located approximately in the center of Europe) and I've been totally blind since birth. Various computer-related stuff, including programming and gaming, has always fascinated me, urging me to get to know as much as I was able to comprehend from those areas, and to get my hands on plenty of computer or Play Station games, either mainstream ones with sighted assistance or those accessible to us. I also love music, especially all guitar genres, and all sorts of literature, all these hobbies in both forms, passive and active. :-) I was able to come back to this nice list now, but unfortunately I can't guarantee or estimate how long I will be able to stay... Here, finally, comes the main reason for my subscription and participation, suggested by the subject line. As the first and second release candidatesfor Top Speed v2.1 have finally been released, after years of anticipation, bringing quite a few changes and new features that we had hoped for since the last update and many more, obvious or not, a more or less complex idea of mine can at last come true. Over the last couple of days, I have been testing the new releases intensely with my good friend who, in addition, is a much better racer than I myself am, we have discussed this idea a lot, and now give it to you for consideration, and we strongly encourage you to go ahead and join us! As you must have already guessed by now, we plan to host a huge Top Speed tournament - well, it does not have to be that huge, it should be just huge enough for the amount of feedback and willing players we receive. The basic idea is as follows: 1. Anyone who feels like it should subscribe to the tournament within the next day or two - we do not have a lot of free time currently. Depending on how many people will be interested, we may be able to play a single qualifying race with everyone to judge their skills, but that is not very probable. We think about this possibility only because we will probably have to divide the players into two or more separate groups, each containing up to 5 or 6 players for the races. We believe that 5 or 6 human players at once is the maximum we can risk for the game to still be playable at a reasonable level. If there will be no qualification races, then the groups will probably be made up just randomly or we might settle an arrangement. A number of around 20 players in total should be the ceiling - we ain't probably ready for something even bigger. 2. Every player should give us their contact information for synchronization purposes. Either me or my friend (actually, some of you could still remember Jiri Fenz from the Mah 1 tournaments) should host the games, as we have tried and confirmed that both of us are capable of providing a fast, stable and reliable enough server for most connection conditions. No more than two servers running at once should ever be required during this tournament. Everyone is most sincerely welcome to join us, no matter how you consider yourself, this event is intended for everyone just to have a nice and funny competition. In fact, this whole thing started only because we were curious to witness how other topspeeders from all over the world drive. :-) It is strongly advised though that you do not have an ordinary telephone modem connection (slow game performance, could lead to inaccurate race results or connection failures on your part) and that you have enough free time to be able to keep up with the rest of us for up to three afternoons. If a player just does not respond in time for the next phase of the tournament to begin, he will have bad luck and will be eliminated from the tournament, although we will try to wait for a few hours if necessary to equalize time zone differences to some extend. 3. When a comunication platform with each player is established, a comfortable time frame is set for the first race and the grouping of players is decided, we shall randomly choose two of the official race tracks for the first round of the tournament. There are currently 11 race tracks in the game, 3 of them being introduced in the new version (America, Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands). We believe that this principle is the fairest possibility
[Audyssey] NOP - error running the very installer
Hi list, well, I sent another, rather lengthy e-mail to this list yesterday but it doesn't seem to have gotten through, perhaps the moderators did not have enough time to read and approve it yet, which would be no wonder. I hope it appears here eventually. :-) Now, however, this one will be much shorter. Hope it gets through. I was told about Night of the parasites, so I tried to download it from Audiogames. I made several attempts with MS IE7 but always got the common Windows access denied dialogue (make sure that the disc has not write protection on it and that it's not full) during the actual copying of the file itself to the desired location. Ok, so I thought it may be an odd error on the server side and I asked a friend to upload the file directly to my private ftp. He did, but the problem pertains, I am still unable to run the very file. Very odd, have never seen anything like this happen before, does anyone please have any idea as to why this could be happening? I will now roughly translate the dialogue I am receiving every time I run the file, no matter from which location (I tried renaming it and copying it to several different places): Windows doesn't have access to the specified path, device or file, or you do not have enough rights to run this file. So that's it. I would very much appreciate any possible aids on this. My friend seems to have no problems like this at all, but I very sincerely hope that someone of you gamers has also experienced this error and can offer a solution.
