Re: [Audyssey] Swamp question
A gamer account, which is applicable to all of Aprone's titles, costs $2 monthly. You must purchase a year up front. If you don't play for a month, it doesn't count against you (i.e: you play this month, then don't do anything for March, you'll still have 11 months left). All of the information is on Aprone's website. Also, I do want to note that I've personally never played swamp without my trackpad. Every attempt I've made with an actual mouse leaves me feeling uncoordinated and confused. Re: [Audyssey] Swamp question
Hi. Agree on the trackpad, though Swamp is well worth it. the account costs two dollars a month, though you have to pay one full year first. Bare in mind though, your only charged for a month if you play that month, so if you leave swamp and then come back your account will still be okay. The account also applies to any and all online games Aprone creates, though Swamp is the main thing you get, however you can also use it to play Castaways online or the beata of castaways 2, and it's likely Aprone will be making more online games in the future. To find out more and buy the account go to: https://p9.secure.hostingprod.com/@www.kaldobsky.com/ssl/aboutgameraccounts.php Imho it's well worth it. hth. Hi, If you are using a lap top I believe you can use the track pad, I've not tried this myself as use a mouse, but I'm sure I've heard others on this list say they use their laptop touch pad instead of the mouse. Hope this helps, it really is a good game and well worth playing. Re: [Audyssey] Swamp question
Hi Danielle. Yes, for swamp you need a mouse, however this is abbecause swamp tries to introduce into an audio first person shoorter game, some of the controls that have been around in mainstream first person shoorters for a long while. I'd recommend giving it a try, since the coordination of using a mouse, particularly when strafing enemies or running a circle around zombie targets is really quite exhillorating, and a great experience once you've got used to it. Re: [Audyssey] EuroFly question
pg13 has a podcast and there or podcast also done buy a couple others. Look up looking at eurofly in your podcaster of choice. I just can't wait for more U.S airports. There are a few here I would love to have but not sure how to properly send the info I need to have them added. I tried to google for the info I need then add them in on the game maybe to make sure things where in the right place before emailing the devs but no go for me. Also I wonder what makes the fsx setup so bad? I wonder how much it cost as well. I wouldn't mind playing for eurofly if there were better sounds and a bunch of other cool stuff that made this more realistic. Well, I've installed Eurofly, but I too would love a you tube video of a complete flight since I too have not been able to even file a flight plan for the U.S. Nor have I been able to complete the first assignment. Re: [Audyssey] EuroFly question
Hi, yeah it's the massive job setting up and getting working of it's your plane that turned me away. yes, i like flying. yes i like flight sims, but, i'm not really prepared at this point, to go into the amount of work i'd need to do to make that work. plus, reading the documentation isn't too good either. in fact i was more confused after attempting to read it last night then i was before. lol. Oh well, euro fly will have to do. hope they do make it better in time, and provide better sounds. the way they have used the engines sounds isn't really good, IE using a low freq version of the files and ramping it up to the original recording. it's one way of doing it, and sounds ok once you're up to speed, but sounds very strange otherwise. and as i've stated on the forum about it, i don't like the slow build up of sound along with speed. sound of engines should be seperate from air speed / ground speed. but hey. it's not bad for what it is. free. lol. i'm so damned determined to push through till i can fly the big planes on there. want to give them a twirl or two, and of course, use autopilot. Re: [Audyssey] EuroFly question
Well I have likened eurofly to a semi automatic drone sim. You have no name and are then a drone. You get contacted by whatever airport computer and then do your thing. So I imagine this eurofly where all things are controled by self aware androids and airport and state controler cpus. It then does make some sence as if I was a drone I would just want the information and nothing else. On 24/12/2016 5:42 a.m., Moritz Grandjean wrote: Hi John. I’ve also started live streaming IYP—more today, and it just doesn’t compare to EuroFly. [Audyssey] EuroFly question
Hi my name is John Sanders. I have a question: every time I try to launch EuroFly, it says loading and the different country names. It does it on every euroFly session. Is it supposed to do that on every startup of the game? I would also like to see features on contacting clearence delivery for clearence to the airport you are going to and contacting ground for taxie instructions. And once in the air for contacting departure for departing the airport. And then after departure, I would also like to see the ability to contact center controlers for the remainder of the flight until you get to your destination. Is this something that could be added in to the game? I hope to hear from you soon. [Audyssey] Another Question was Re: Need Help Finding The Ring in Manamon
Hi Tobias and All, Thanks for the info. I finally found the ring, and decided to go to Avalet City where the next stadium is. (I was actually trying to decide between that or to find my way back to Hanja Village, but my manamon were in need of healing, and at least two had been defeated in battle.) I have another question. In some of the houses, I hear a phone ringing, but when I go to answer it, I only get a dial tone. I've tried entering random numbers, but none work. Where's a phone book when you need one (lol)? Seriously, how do I find a number to try, or is that for a later time? The building is north of the fort whose entryway is on Indi drive. Continue slightly north of that fort, turn east to the border, go north and the outpost will be on your left. As to your second question, you'll need to be a bit more specific. Obviously it's not a beacon which I can understand as it's quite the special place. The other day I was exploring map 1 and I found a building on the other side of the bridge or at least I think it was a building because when I hit v to get data on that location it said no data for my location. So how do you know where the outpost actually is? Or I should say, how do you know when you have found it. In addition, I know there are some custom swamp missions around. How do I find them? Is there a site somewhere with custom maps on and some such? --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] A question about king of dragon pass
Hi. Congrats on getting one of the best accessible games ever made. Bare in mind there is a lot to learn in Kodp, not just about how to play the game, but also about the Orlanthi culture and the world, which will be vital if you want to get into the story, however perciveering is very much well worth it, though I recommend clearing your calindar for a while sinse Kodp takes a lot of time playing. For this reason I did record a podcast tutorial on how to get started which hopefully explains some of the major points, find it here: https://www.sendspace.com/pro/2kiiy0 Also the Kodp wiki can come in handyy, especially for looking at how game mechanics work, though bare in mind it is chock full of spoilers and the last thing you want is the game spoiled for you. http://kingofdragonpass.wikia.com/wiki/King_of_Dragon_Pass_Wiki As regards mysteries. Each God has several different blessings they can do, and several like Orlanth the Stormfather and Ernalda the earth mother have myths to learn that let you perform heroquests. Select a god and you will notice several radial buttons in two columns, which are their blessings with descriptive text, however the radial buttons will initially be disabled, this is because you don't know how to cast that ritual blessing yet, so need to sacrifice to the gods for mysteries. If your sacrifice is successful (which can depend upon various things like putting points of clan magic into mysteries during sacred time or having a worshipper of that god on your ring), you will either learn some of the myths associated with that god, or learn a blessing, for example if you sacrifice to Orlant you might learn the rain blessing which improves your crops. Once you know some blessings, you can there either build a shrine to a god which gives you a blessing perminantly, or sacrifice to a god for a temporary blessing for just that year. Personally I never bother sacrificing for temporary blessings, sinse it's more expensive in the long run and so prefer to build lots of shrines instead, particularly sinse the extra blessings usually though not always compensate for the upckeep of the temples, but how you play is up to you, there are no hard and fast rules with Kodp. Re: [Audyssey] Castaways Question
They do come back to your settlement before going back out to fight again. They will return to the nearest storehouse, barracks, or guard tower. Once at that location, they choose a new enemy to attack. You don't get to pick where they attack, but it will be the nearest enemy to one of your buildings. - Aprone From: Christina greensleev...@wind-haven.net To: 'Gamers Discussion list' gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Sunday, August 16, 2015 9:42 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Castaways Question Hi. Re: [Audyssey] Alteraeon question
Ron, There's six classes in Alter Aeon: mage: elemental spell slinger and artillery Cleric: healer, protector, buff caster and able to curse enemies Thief: stealthy, light combat, able to use shadow disciplines to walk from one point to another, hide in shadows on their own plane etc Warrior: main line combatant, tank, hits things to death Necromancer: uses minions to protect themselves and others, can summon demons to accomplish tasks, and has some very powerful spells for offense. Druid: can summon tank minions and animals to aid them, can control weather and produce some devastating effects, able to brew salves and tinctures to protect and aid people None of those is a 100% good description of the classes, but it gives flavor. I personally think mage or warrior are the easiest to play if you've never played on the game before, but there's no wrong decision. You will progress in one class until 6th level. At that point it becomes cheaper to begin leveling a second class. Eventually you will have levels in all 6 classes, and you will want skills or spells from all six. Dentin has prepared a very good getting started help page, help advice, and there's articles for just starting out on the web site at http://www.alteraeon.com/articles Hope that helps. BTW, you mentioned the client. There's the custom client which is not accessible to a screen reader. You might be referring to the mush-z pack sponsored by the site, in which case you're ready to go. Re: [Audyssey] A question regarding materia magica
Hi allisan. Yes, Alteraeon is a mud, however my point was that because the MushZ soundpack is so extensive, and because the mud works so flawlessly with it, it doesn't feel! like your playing a usual text mud, it's far more like a full scale audiogame. Far too often I've had people come on the forum an say well I started of playing alter, looked around for more muds but none have sounds This is why while Alteraeon is a very awsome game I would recommend to anyone, I'd not suggest it to someone who wanted to get into playing other muds, sinse it creates false expectations of what other muds are like. As to materiamagica, I'm unfortunately not that experienced in the game, indeed I confess that when I played most extensively I found myself quite annoyed at the marks system sinse at that point there was no way to know when you'd already passed one, and the fact that all the quests were timed didn't help either. I ought to give the game a more extensive go sinse I have heard a lot of updates have been made, and I always did like the wilderness system, that's actually one thing I always missed in alter, when regrinding areas you have already explored things get a little static, (though it's possible the new jobs system will help with this). I think probably my next casting of the pod will be on one of the choiceofgames titles. [Audyssey] Packman question.
Hi guys, I haven't played Packman from pcs for ages, so I decided to have a quick game earlier this morning. I was on the outer ring, and ran into the safe place by a mistake. When I got in there, I heard my ghost detecter make that wierd humming sound, as I was facing the wall, but when I hit down arrow to turn around, I didn't hear any ghosts a head of me, just the passage sounds, and that funny beep when I hit the spacebar to see if any ghosts were nearby. I thought the ghost detecter could detect sounds through walls, but maybe I got it wrong. Re: [Audyssey] a question regarding drue's abilities.
Hi Isehn. Not sure on the bucler thing, so long as you ahve a buckler and some points in the skill it should work. On reincarnation, well no it's random, you get what you get, which seems pretty reasonable for reincarnating to me, that part isn't a bug, the bug is that it resets all your character's statistics (not abilities or skills, but basic stats), which can be a major problem sometimes in the game. Hi Ishan, What I am saying if you get into a battle with a quest objective you don't have the health or the skills to complete at that time you should flee, and come back to it later on in the game once you have leveled up some. You don't have to fight the enemy right then and there, and usually the game gives you the option to flee the battle. Re: [Audyssey] a question for space colony
I played the game from an abandoned archive. To put it politely, it was quite poor in quality and not my type of game at all. It was well really bad, I couldn't get the feel for it, and it irritated me to the point I really couldn't play it for that long. Re: [Audyssey] a question for space colony
I Actually wondered sky if the game was properly finished sinse I found it so buggy it was near unplayable. I'd take a couple of steps and die, and on the one occasion i managed to kill all the robots and get the code, I'd put in one number and die. it really struck me as a very half finished project so I don't know why the developer was trying to chage for it. Plus of course it'd probably be fairly easy for someone to replicate the same gameplay in bgt, running around a flat grid area getting numbers to a level password indeed I think pontes adventure might be sort of similar. [Audyssey] Windows7 question
Hi everyone, sorry this is off-topic and not to do with gaming, but I’m having an issue with windows live hotmail, where it’s not letting me view my contacts list to delete old email addresses. I’m using windows live mail, but the actual program, not the website, and I’ve been through the menus but can’t find anything about a contacts list. I use windows7 and just wondered if anyone else is on the same set-up as me and could help? Thanks in advance and sorry againabout being off-topic. Hi. Yes, it's the same for alter aeon. Screen review can be activated with NVDA+num pad 7 I believe, in laptop mode that would be NVDA+page up. Then you can use num pad 7 and 9 to go up and down the screen with desktop mode or caps lock up and down to do the same with laptop layout, mode, what ever.
