Re: [Audyssey] Holstering Weapons in MOTA
I have noticed that she can still climb ropes with her weapons out. That's one that really doesn't seem to make sence to me, I know I couldn't climb a rope with a pistol in my left or right hand, heck I probably couldn't without anything in my hands. - Original Message - From: Thomas Ward To: Gamers Discussion list Sent: Saturday, March 21, 2009 5:09 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Holstering Weapons in MOTA Hello James, It Has more to do with balance and momentum than anything else. Think of it this way. If you have a large sword in one hand no matter how you look at it the sword is going to throw you off balance. Especially, if you want to do a very large jjump over a large chasm, fire, whatever. If you strap it to your back the weight is obviously the same, but it is more evenly distributed so it isn't as likely to throw you off balance. As for where I got the concept from ever play any of the Tomb Raider games? If not they have a lot of the features you are seeing in Tomb Hunter. In the Tomb Raider games when Lara's weapons are holstered she can go into a hand to hand fighting mode, jump up and catch ledges, swing off ropes, or just get better balance and achieve longer distance jumps just not by having weapons in her hands all the time. One doesn't need hands to jump across a pit (ropes I understand). I'd think the more weapons and items she'd have on her person the slower and heavier she'd be. Please don't crucify me. This isn't a request to change the gameplay (as it is already quite fun) but more of a funny observation I thought I'd share. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Hi Aaron, Thanks for the bug report.I thought I fixed that one a long time ago. Guess not. Well, consider it history in beta 4. Smile. Re: [Audyssey] Holstering Weapons in MOTA
It's a case of momentum. If your holding a sword in one hand, you'll be pulled off balance in the air as you jump, where as if the sword is on your back, it's weight will be evenly distributed, ditto with guns. As to where Dr. Carter sticks everything, i personally imagine her wearing one of those bandaleer style weapons belts, with holsters at the hips, across the chest, and on the bak, not to mention assorted amo pouches. GO to www.usagamesinteractive.com. Go to the Products page. It's called Tomb Hunter: Mysteries of the Ancients, hence the abreviation of MOTA. - Original Message - From: Anthony Vitale avital...@prodigy.net To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Saturday, March 21, 2009 2:20 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Holstering Weapons in MOTA Hi James, So what game is this you are playing.
