Re: [Audyssey] MOTA small bug, and a suggestion
Hi. Only thing I can think of with the torches not going out is some wierd confusion as to whether the game is being stopped or whether I just died and am being restored to the last point. Kind of a funny bug though. - Original Message - From: Thomas Ward To: Gamers Discussion list Sent: Wednesday, April 08, 2009 11:55 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] MOTA small bug, and a suggestion Hi Scott, Yeah, the torch bug is one i've been trying to track down for a while. it happens so infrequently it is hard to pin down, and a bug that doesn't really make much sense because the game tells that sound to stop when exiting and it doesn't always stop. As far as adding staircases to the view menu that's a good suggestion. It probably won't make it in beta 4, but I'll save the idea for a future beta release. Re: [Audyssey] MOTA small bug, and a suggestion
Hi, No, it is probably how the programming instructions were written. Keep in mind programming is basically nothing more than feeding the computer a set of instructions to follow. Sometimes those instructions can get called out of order or the processor gets backed up and an instruction gets called too late. Either way the sound or whatever gets called at the wrong time producing a nice runtime bug. Bryan Peterson wrote: The sound bug is actually kind of common in mainstream video games. This can be pretty funny depending on who you picked up in your car and what they would have said.
