when I used linux I had to terminals running if using the command console, one
using root and one using normal accounts though if I did a modification on the
sudo I probably could get the same result.

well there have been security updates on linux and mac and yess people have got
viruses on linux and mac.
There are loads of linuxes and the main reason we don't see much in the way of
viruses so much is that the updates come out faster maybe and less time for
security issues to stay round.

Actually its the op itself. When anything and I mean anything goes to
save or write to the op or harddrive. It will ask if you want it
done. Even when saving a file on install a window pops up giving the
web address and asking if ok to preform action.

The reason Mac's have less malware is because it doesn't have a large
percentage of users (compared to how many Windows has). If someone
really wanted too, I'm sure they could make a virus for a Mac.
