Hi Angela, Since we have not heard from a moderator on the subject, I do believe that we are allowed to post log files of games to the list. Probably the game that has been posted most would be Pipe 2 Blast Chamber. But we have also seen golf log files as well as Awesome Homer and Mach 1 etc. The only game that we should not post would be Triple J Shooter. Jim, I was actually wondering about that. The attempt to spell out Reaction didn't work, it ended up as a bunch of gibberish. I assume you're using VB, so if you ever want a graphical image to use as the background on one of your games just let me know. You would set it as your form's picture property, and it would be visible to any sighted players who use your game. > Hi Jeremy, > > Thanks, and yeah, too quick on the trigger will bugger up > your reaction average. > > May I ask, I used a program named autofont to supposedly > spell the word reaction on the screen. Re: [Audyssey] reaction sounds
Hello, As i can see now, the acceleration and deceleration sounds are used when the control mode is turn and move. That's why Che has no footstep sounds in monster mash. The x and y sounds are only used when the control mode is directional. hth, rob. - Original Message - Subject: Re: [Audyssey] reaction sounds Date: Sat, 4 Aug 2007 18:56:53 -0600 From: "Bryan Peterson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> In answer to your first question, yes that does refer to walking. Re: [Audyssey] reaction sounds
Hi Josh, > Quote > What happens if you assign reaction sounds to x plus, x minus, y plus, and y > minus? End quote Keep in mind AGM games can be setup to have two different types of keyboard controles. If it is set to directional the X+, X-, Y+, and Y- sounds are for walking left, right, forward, and backward. If controls are set to turn and move they are not used. Quote Also does the accelleration sound make the frequency of the sound change? End quote No. Actually what this is used for is when you are in turn and move control setup when up arrow is pressed the accelleration sound is played. When down arrow is pressed the decelaration sound is used. This would be in the case of a FPS game where you walk forwar and backwards, and you can add turn sounds for left and right as you turn around. Hth. ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] reaction sounds
These reaction sounds are supposed to fire when a player or oponent moves around, but in Monster Mash, mine don't seem to be working, no idea why at this point, as one of my first test games I did this with it worked great. One thing I reccomend is to put a slightly different footstep on each axis, so you get a varied feel as you move around instead of the same sound over and over. Out.
