Re: [Audyssey] pizza withdrawals - Re: Phil's price list andotherentires
Hi Dark, Yeah, we have plenty of Chinese restaurants here in the states. Most of them privately owned by Chinese-American families. We have your more eexpensive affairs where you go in and sit down and order from a Chinese buffet which is good, and then their is the Chinese take out restaurants where you call them up, place your order, and then go pick it up when it is done. Some Chinese restaurants do both. When I was still living at Wright State University there was a Chinese place down the road called Shades of Jade. Not only was the Chinese take out great they actually delivered to the university for a small fee. Plus if you wanted to walk there you could go in sit down, and order a meal and have it brought out to you on a huge glass pladder. Which was slightly less expensive, but they were flexable to deliver Chinese take out if you wanted it that way. Now, I think we've traveled far enough off topic don't you think? Perhaps we should get things back to gaming. Wink. Wink. Re: [Audyssey] pizza withdrawals - Re: Phil's price list andotherentires
Well dominoes and pizza hut are both fairly well known over here, though I've never heard of tombstone pizza, sounds a bit grim to me ;D. Mostly over here frozen pizzas are branded by whatever supermarkit you get them from, such as asda, marks and spensor or Morrisons, though there is one fairly well known brand called chicago town who actually used to have a hole add campeign based on the idea of them being american pizzas. Personally though if I want pizza, I order from the very nice small local place, pizza for you, who's pizzas are a, cheap and b, fantastically nice. Then of course whenever I go round to my friends' for our tabletop sessions of mutants and masterminds (which i do most saturdays), we end up having chinese, indian or pizza. Now there's a question Tom, is there such a thing as a chinese take away in the states? I know you don't get fish 'n chips over there, (which is a shame), but how about take aways to order chinese or indian? Beware the Grue! Hi Tom Thanks. I then misunderstood the post I replied to. They sell, well, pizza of course. And just in case anyone didn't get my joke about a tombstone on their pizza that is another brand of pizza. Here in the U.S. there is a brand of frozen pizzas called Tombstone you buy at Wal-Mart, Publics, Giant Eagle, or wherever you like to shop and take it home and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. There company logo is, "what do you want on your tombstone?" I changed that around and asked "what kind of tombstone do you want on your pizza?" Tombstone pizzas are good frozen pizzas, too.
