don't.
I run 2.4.22 fine on this machine .. as well as 8 other machine with reiserfs. You
sure you didn't bork your grub.conf .. or maybe forget to change to reiserfs in your
fstab ?

I've had some problems with X11 before related to crashing when starting up on a gf2

this. Is this a kernel issue or X11 issue as I'm not
very sure where to report this to.
It seems to be very much a hardware issue as I've tried this on different installs
(1.2/1.4) on this hardware setup.

a valid shell in /etc/passwd /bin/sh is not valid, I'm not
sure if this effects su but I knwo that if my user is /bin/sh I cannot ssh into the
machine

To get a hsf modem working is only neccessary to build the hsflinmodem, hsfconfig -a
to build kernel modules and hsfconfig -s in local.start to make it visible at boot.
What's you problem?
insert CD, boot, get prompt, need modem drivers to get online.
