So, presumably qt-core was renamed to just qt, so that's why I'm being told to
unmerge qt-core and merge qt?
The other way around. There's no more qt. It has been split into

when I changed to Qt live ebuilds from qting-edge overlay with the

In fact PyQt4 is upgrading only (insisting on turning qt3support flag on).

My aim was to set default font for Qt4 applications. I have tried to find Qt4's
'qtconfig' and discovered: there is *the only* 'qtconfig' in my system. And it
is
/usr/qt/3/bin/qtconfig, i.e. for Qt3 (I have scanned /usr recursively).
OK
No, you *add* qt4 to your make.conf if you need it.
You probably still have packages that use qt3, so unless you want to unmerge
them...
Think of it this way. Nobody in their right mind will ever get qt and gtk+
confused. You can have both and intermingle them, and the flags do not depend

I've added -mysql in /etc/portage/package.use for x11
.
Depending on your system and installed packages, you might hit an issue
where Portage is getting confused by this USE flag change, trying to mix
old 4.5.1 ebuilds with new 4.5.2 ones, resulting in blocks.
If this happens to you, please add the offending USE flags (usually
'qt3support' and 'dbus') in your

If you're sure you have the Qt development utilities
installed, you might try using the --qtdir option.
Try --qtdir /usr/share/qt4. Make sure you have enabled
USE=qt3support. If that doesn't work and you cannot patch the app,
there are several overlays that contain
