Take a look at Ardour. It's a much more accomplished program than Audacity, although considerably more difficult to use when you get into it's advanced features. It's moderately stable and one of the best Linux audio program out there. Ardour supports a marker list althogh I'm not sure about

Hi Jim, I use privoxy as a peer cache for squid. It works fine across the local network, and seems reasonably fast and flexible. My first proxy is squid, which then calls privoxy as its peer. All my local hosts use squid as their proxy, and get the benefits of using both squid and provoxy.

Hi Jim, I believe that Gmail *requires* SSL to connect, I don't think it's a privoxy issue. I connect to http://gmail.google.com, which seems to redirect to an https:// link, from there on it's straight in. Gmail also works fine using SSL and Thunderbird via my squid privoxy combination.

Hi all, It seems like the build for dev-lang/php-4* has no support for xml, even though 'xml' use flag have been set. I've tried unmerging libxml2 and sure enough, building dev-lang/php-4* pulled libxml2 as well, but a simple test indicated undefined xml functions (such as xml_parser_create()).
