[Gimp-user] Another question about batch processing in GIMP...
I want to use Filters - Distorts - Lens Distortion on sets of up to 24 images of a panorama. They are all the same size and format but suffer from a little mustache distortion. Lens Distortion can actually undue that kind of distortion if applied carefully. But I shoot a lot of panos and I don't want to do hundreds of images one at a time. I know about Davids Batch Processor but that nice tool isn't extendable as far as I know. If it is extendable so that I could add Lens Distortion to its quiver, that would work. How would I do batch processing using Lens Distortion? Does anyone have any suggestions other than to spend 3 months learning Scheme? ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

Have you investigated G'MIC plugin? it seems to explicitly support multiple image processing. Does anyone have any suggestions other than to spend 3 months learning Scheme? Well, I do not recommend script-fu to anyone; If you were doing something like that, it would be smarter to use Python. Hey David, No, I haven't looked at G'MIC. I will. Doing panoramas one has to do exactly the same thing to a set of images. I'm sure you know that. Really hard to do stuff like that in GIMP. Seems a weakness. But otherwise -- I love the GIMP. I wish I had a Wilber hat. Ken David Gowers wrote: Hi Ken! Re: [Gimp-user] Another question about batch processing in GIMP...
There's also an example (using plug-in-unsharp-mask instead of plug-in-lens-distortion) of applying applying a filter to multiple files in batch mode in the online documentation. Look for the section headed Processing several files at http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Basic_Batch/ (or just hunt on that page for file-glob). It's a complete example; you can copy it (substituting the lens distortion filter for the unsharp mask filter) without really knowing Scheme. [Gimp-user] Another question.
Gimp 2.6.2 Mac OS X 10.5.5 I have photos to which I need to apply 2 watermarks that you guys showed me how to make transparent and I thank you for that as it was a huge step on the road to really digging into this ongoing task I've volunteered for. (Yeah, don't ever volunteer, but I've met a lot of very helpful people!) I've also been able to use applescript to allow me to standardize the size of the photos, rename them and then produce a thumb size image of each photo from the resized image while putting each into their required directories. Is there a database of script-fu programs I can look at 1.) to help learn the language, and 2.) that will allow me to automate certain stages of the placement of the 2 watermarks since each watermark will have to be placed in a different location on each photo in order to not interfere with the object of the photoin my case each photo will have a plane as the focal point. There will be scripts in all languages, also in script-fu/tiny-fu, so as to give you many examples. I don't know much more about scripting, but maybe also http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Basic_Batch/ might be helpful Daniel signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part. ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

Cheers Can anyone help installing the Canon N1220U scanner to work with GIMP. I made de download of a installer from Canon that search for a local to instal the driver. The problem is that the installer do not give me back any location path and I don't have any idea where shoud I put it.
