Setup: xubuntu or kubuntu 12.10 and gimp 2.8. Normal screens: gimp and toolbox ok. Seperate xscreens nvidia: gimp 2.8 toolbox gone in single window or not single window: You can even see desktop shortcuts that are behind the gimp window in the toolbox area. see

Hi, Mikel, there are more apps taking screenshots to a clipboard than opening them in GIMP so it'd be useful :). I use ScreenCloud. Kevin, I know about pasting when I have it opened. After taking a screenshot I'm running GIMP and pressing ctrl+shift+v. I'd be much better though if I could be
