Hello Daniel,
thanks for your reply, which I somehow managed to miss before.
There are lots of plugins in python, but I don't know if it's the best choice
for file i/o plugins, since if you do a good job, it might be included into
GIMP by default, and Python isn't installed everywhere. I'

I set up a new mirror you may download the GAP installer for Windows here

Suppose there are three different layers in a stack that need to be
saved individually and then used as the input for a RPI plugin. What
would be the best procedure to use, please?

Just to continue this thread:
There is at least one other book about GIMP in preparation, due in about
one year if things progress as expected. Its title is not completely
fixed, although we would very much like it to contain the words "GIMP
3.0".
It will be a somewhat thick book, in two parts.

I installed a new font in C:\Windows\Fonts. Loaded GIMP up and it found the
new font and was able to use it. I made some changes to the font and
installed the new TTF file into C:\Windows\Fonts. I reloaded GIMP, but it is
not detecting the changed font. There does not seem to be a .fonts.cache-1

Make the layer you wish to save active by clicking on its thumbnail
preview in
Hi,
The scenario - have an inkjet printer which regularly runs out of black
ink, but still has plenty of colour ink. I would like to change black to
dark blue or whatever, so I can print eg. a concert ticket with a black
barcode, which will still scan fine at the venue entrance.
