There are a few buttons right above the field where the (in my case two) paths are listed. To the right of those buttons is the green "tick", and it doesn't seem to be clickable, because it's not a button, as it seems to me. When I click a path, the buttons bevome active and the tick becomes green. Does this mean that the folder is writable? If you don't find the translation of 'writeable' into Swedish correct, perhaps you should report a bug in the Swedish internationalization of GIMP. Anyway, I hope that solves your problem. I am used to the OpenOffice.org mailing lists, with which I can just click Reply to reply to the list automatically.
