I am thinking about creating a new distro. A fork of GoboLinux, which
I am thinking of calling GotoLinux.
Are there others that would be interested in such a project?
To facilitate this, what is needed to get the distro up to speed and
what are the challenges in maintaining it?

project carry on. And I was very hopeful for it myself for a long
time. But I think now, Gobo makes more sense as a stepping stone to a
broader project.

Why did Gobo go with its own init system instead of using systemd? Would
the same decision be made now?

I have definitely decided to the later layout for the GotoLinux project.

However I think the FHS++ ideas are still an improvement on current FHS.
Yesterday I partially converted my Debian box
Has anyone considered replacing it with a simpler wiki like Gollum? No
database is required, it's file based and uses a git repo to record changes.
