Yesterday we had a speaker, Joani Keller Rothenberg, whom I would like to
recommend to anyone looking for a program on Jewish childrens books.
Joani has illustrated three Jewish childrens books (Cain and Abel, The

We would be interested in finding out whether there are any libraries who

imprint.
We have tried to borrow it from our usual sources with no luck.

Hello,
My husband named his daughter Hypatia.
He says that she was killed by the Christians in 425, and she was not
Christian. We do have Charles Kingsley's book Hypatia, but my husband
says that it is actually an apology for the murder of Hypatia, trying to

Andrea Rapp asked if Hypatia, keeper of the ancient library at
Alexandria, Egypt, was Jewish.
Sources on the Internet describe Hypatia as being a pagan, the daughter
of Theon, author of Theon's Commentary on Ptolemy's Almagest.
