SARS hit Toronto particularly hard. My recollection is that we had to
change hotels, and we waited until a bit later than usual to do
registration. But the Conference went on and we all had a great time
(including lots of people going to the Shoe Museum nearby).
As former Co-Chair (2005) and former Conference VP (2006-10), I echo all
the appreciation for our 2020 team. I know how many details there are, and
I'm truly disappointed that the decision had to be made. At the same time,
I applaud the early process.
