You wouldn't need to create a lot of vectors, you really need just one
initial vector, and then a function that would be used to vary the
vector. The function would have to be time based and maybe use curent
x/y/z of the player to introduce some randomnes. That would give you a
varying vector that

This is something that is relatively new. At each map change, my players
disconnect and reconnect, and their time on the server resets. It didn't
used to do this, I used to be able to do a STATUS and see each players total
time on server. Now it only shows time since the last map change. Any ideas
zoot?

There is no way the engine could load the entire contents of the WAD files.
Someone has been giving you bad information, the engine will only load the
textures it needs. FWIW, I mix and match textures, and I always embed
non-valve textures in the map. I hate keeping track of wad files for

Eric, I think there a lot of us that would be VERY interested in having our
maps available via steam. The Verc used to have a map exchange board, but
they shut it down and now there really isn't any good places to post maps -

And good luck...I've done this several times, and no one at Valve ever
returned my emails. If they can't give a definitive answer, their response
will be a luke warm non-responce, like Alfred's "consult with an attorney".

I hope it's appropriate to advertise for coders here. If not, sorry, flame

I have acquired the code for HardCore-Life, a deathmatch mod that features
modified weapons and models. Our coder quit and left it unfinished. We need

I have inherited the source code to the HardCore-Life mod. The code is incomplete, but
I was able to get it to compile and run. However, when I join the server, I'm in third

The client content servers are very badly overloaded, I've been trying all
morning to get past the updating steam point. It downloads at about 1 or 2K,
when it downloads at all. It spends most of it's time just sitting there and
is for all pratical purposes dead in the water, unusable. I think by t

Who will pay $9.95 a month for Half-Life 2 and related content? I sure as
hell won't. They had better walk softly here, or they are going to loose a
lot of customers. I predict that their monthly fee based plan is going to be
an absolute flop unless they can come out with some seriously kick butt
