cl_timeout is a variable on the server side. Could this be set higher on
the server to prevent client timeouts?
I haven't tested this myself so I'm not sure. It happens so infrequently...

VAC is fully automated, and VALVe do not accept any cheater's steam id
submissions.
However, you could report them to www.steambans.com if you run steambans.

Last night on one of my servers, teams switched on dustbowl and all of a sudden
we went from 9 players on Blue to 2. Seemed that they all timed out at once.
Everyone on Red stayed though. This has happened one or two times before.
Anyone else run into this during a team switch?

lag that was non-existent before. My players (about half of which are paying
customers) are understandably upset, and my in-box is being hammered with

Valve won't ban farmers. They won't even take their unlockables/achievements
away.
What they will do is take away the unlockables/achievements of some of the

- Added UTIL_IsCommandIssuedByServerAdmin() checks to several physics_
CON_COMMAND scripts to prevent clients issuing the commands.
That's one of the fixes for TF2 + OrangeBox.

particular client uses. I assume the change of the first digit to 1 is
another set, or another layer, of authentication. L4D is strongly tied
into the friends and Community system, so I bet they didn't want it
bogging down

I'm not sure you guys are reading patch notes correctly. It sounds
like they rebalanced crit chance to favor players who are having
'streaks' a lot more than random crits to spammers, they didn't note
what the new overall crit % is expected to be, but i would expect it
to be similar.
