Ok, scripts I gather are a debatable topic. One school of thought is that
whatever Valve allows is acceptable.
The answer is YES, afaik..?
Sorry if I missed your point Yaakov. If so please elaborate.

Hmmm. Not sure, but perks are now disabled on the server... Also
seeing a new spew message I didn't before:
STEAMAUTH : Connected to Steam Servers
STEAMAUTH : VAC Security Disabled
STEAMSTATS: SECURITY CHECK FAILED - /ENGINE.U
STEAMSTATS: SECURITY CHECK FAILED - ../System/Engine.u
STEAMSTATS:
That did not work. Also spot this error while the server starts up:
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to update local
steamclient. Continuing with current version anyway.

Don,
I think that was part of the setting the right default values for the

I am running Debian Linux 4.0
I think the error is the internal game files, not the OS. The servers
still run, they just don't allow players access to the perks system.
Thanks

Tried deleting KillingFloor.ini and letting the server create a new
one too. When I join the game perks are blank. I try to select a
perk and it says:
Unknown Steam error prevented access to this
When a player joins the server, it spews the message:
Open myLevel Fri May 15 21:52:21 2009
Just tried a complete fresh install. No good. Still get the same
error spews.
