Yes I am using the nextmap plugin. That didn't give me any trouble before
though.

Are you using the nextmap plugin for SM?

Same here (but the OS is Linux). Restarted the server and now seems to be
ok.

I've noticed this bug and I don't know where should I report it, so I've made a

This has nothing to do with server administration. Please post it on

Actually even better, the game have a inbuilt bug reporting tool that he
should probably use. In the TF2 main menu there is a button with a bug on,
that's the Report a bug button. Click on it and fill out the report
there, including the video URL.

All 7 of my Windows 2008 TF2 servers are no longer registered either. I
restarted them again and no change. I'll bet this is the same thing that
happened right after Halloween when we mysteriously lost all our players,
and then it fixed itself a few days later. Hu.

I just ran the HLDSUpdate tool and received an update I wasn't aware of.
After receiving the update, my servers registered properly again. If you are
having this problem, you may want to try the update tool as well.

Is IPv6 planned for Half-Life 1 dedicated server/client support? I
realize we're 9 or 10 years out from IPv6 being in wide use (20 years
after HL1's release), but I expect people will still want to play CS
1.6 in the post IPv4 era without clumsy workarounds.

There seems to be a new program out there to boot everyone out of a server, one
of my servers was hit with it yesterday. I searched around Google for a bit and

The issue is legitimate, it's caused by having a client with garbage
characters in their name connect and disconnect repeatedly.

Don't even think the name has to have garbage characters, it would probably
work equally well if the player was just connecting with a long name.
Events are reliable, such as player_connect and player_disconnect. So
repeatedly connecting and disconnecting within a second will result in a

We've released a mandatory update for the Team Fortress 2 Beta. The notes are

system so we can roll the changes to Team Fortress 2 as soon as possible.

This happened on a CS:S server and would probably work for any Orangebox based
game, plus the STEAMID that was used is banned from tons of servers for using
crashing/booting scripts. http://www.google.com/search?q=STEAM_0%3A1%3A11902529

Was there ever done some with the input that was given some time ago in
requests in how to get more players occasionally play TF2 Beta? afaik there are
no benefits for players that do so. There was a wide range of ideas put up, but
I've not seen such pass by as being used or other things like
it really lakes the metagame that TF2 uses to keep players hooked. It would
be impossible to implement the same mechanic, but Im sure there a differant
kind of meta game that would work (I.e. double drops that are for the main
game)

There's a chance it's real. I know HaloShadoW, and I kind-of know GunGrave
(CSSExploits Youtube channel owner). Both of them were in the Lua Source
Scripting group.
I'll try to get more info. about this.
