We have 2 campaign, and 2 versus. ONE OF EACH is showing 14.. :/

You don't actually need to use any of this - You can run multiple servers
out of the same install already.
The only real gotcha is that addons are auto-loaded when each server starts,
so you need to explicitly unload them if you want them disabled, which
doesn't always work.

Yes, I was using Windows Apache. I tried the new version and the old
version. Both gave me 400 kb/s instead of 1.0 mb/s + :(

Actually you would have a use for symlink because you can't host
multiple games out of one folder install unless they are all owned by
the same user. Which for GSP's is not the case. You can't give FTP
access to the folder to more than one user.

Ya, the only reason I asked is because my Windows Apache server gets crap
transfer speeds as well. I've tried googling it. Found lots of people with

Here is a Mod for Apache, which can modify the speeds:
http://www.ivn.cl/apache/
I am using these settings:
BandWidthModule On
ForceBandWidthModule On
BandWidth all 100
MinBandWidth all -1
The download speed is ~1 MB per second then. Works very well on my windows
server on apache 2.2.8

I beleive right now on my game server i'm symlinking the bin and hl2

Hi,
From the latest update there is a crash in the steamclient. When your
alt+tabbed out of the game(TF2 in this case), and you then try to join a
server (from windows), steam.exe crashes and it puts hl2.exe in a stall.
In the past it never used to do this, and people in our community use this

Run in a windows without a border. Problem solved (given your video card

While you're right, using noborder is pretty awesome anyway. Makes alt-tab
almost instantaneous.

enough.

I posted before (December?) with this issue.
Stock was fine.
Stock + MM+SM showed 14.
It was repeatable and consistent.
It magically fixed itself after a few restarts.
Something about MM+SM causes this.

While playing the game it DOES. When in menus (such as console or option
menus) you can move to other window.
HIGHLY recommended for multitasking multiscreen users.

And you need to be able to alt tab to whatever admin utilities you run, or a
remote session to the server, from the client machine you use to test.
You DO test, don't you?
Just about anything that involves the client impacts the server.
