Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Updates Released
Has anyone managed to get the replay system working along side sourcetv without the server crashing? I know, 'why on earth would you want to do that?' you ask. Well It's only so people don't have to go through sourcetv files to get the clips they want. Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Updates Released
If this hasnt been mentioned yet: CS:S servers crash whenever clients issue the kill command, such as joining spectator while being alive, changing teams while being alive, etc. Temporary and crude fix seems to be just overwriting the function at offset server.dll+0x0029A170 to always return 8. Also, in cstrike_german.txt and several other languages Cstrike_playerid_diffteam is still missing the player name %s2 So when one aims at an enemy, one only sees their clan tag. Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Updates Released
Didn't have to enable it on the servers I'm managing yet, but heard from others they experience mayor lag on servers where they did enable it. Some have reverted and disabled it for this reason. Have yet to try out on a full server. Nice to have such an update, but with all the run-up problems of any update, its not handy to set up such a competition right away. Especially with such a short deadline. [hlds] Change download URL for old replays?
I attempted to set up replays in a hurry on my server last night, but had to rush out the door before finishing it. Due to that, there are many players who recorded replays on our server who cannot get them. They still exist on my FTP server, but the download URL stored is incorrect. Is there a way to get the server to push out the correct URL, at least to those who join the server now that replays work fine? --- Jonah Hirsch ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
Re: [hlds] Change download URL for old replays?
Well, I can see that If I open the dmx files in tf/replay/client/sessions I can easily modify this data, but it'd be nice if the server could too! --- Jonah Hirsch On Fri, May 6, 2011 at 9:44 AM, Jonah Hirsch crazydog...@gmail.com wrote: I attempted to set up replays in a hurry on my server last night, but had to rush out the door before finishing it.
